There could not be a better little digicam bag!
I am an amateur film photographer who has switched to digital for my snapshots. I keep a Fuji FinePix 2650 in this bag. Like I expect from a 35mm SLR camera bag, it is roomy and sturdy. It can carry the camera and then some. The front features elastic bands that will grip 4 AA batteries nicely and space for 3 memory cards. There also is a small mesh pouch. All this is protected by a zippered flap that comes up and buckles to the top. The bag closes nicely keeping your equipment clean. The bag is well padded and very sturdy. The main pouch has padded divider fastened with velcro like you would see in a good SLR bag.

I would not let the other comments about the buckle discourage you from getting this bag. It takes some getting used to since it is so small and stiff at first, but it is quite secure. And you don't need to bother with it much since the front flap zippers up and the top flap fits snugly and has a bit of velcro to hold it down even without the buckle. I did read one review that said the buckle is "upside-down." This orientation is actually how many good camera bags are. They make opening it one-handed much easier since the buckle will open and fall out of the way rather than dangle off the top flap.

I can't say much more. This is the best little digicam bag I have yet to see. The most impressive thing is how well it is built. I haven't given it the Samsonite gorilla test, but I did have it get kicked around a bit under the seats at a baseball game. No damage to the bag or contents ... and the mustard came right off!

The perfect size for my Digital Camera Needs
The Camera Bag turned out to be absolutely perfect for my needs. My Olympus D-550 camera fits perfectly into the pouch. The pouch has a padded removable velcro divider. My Kodak Max K2000 battery charger fits great on the other side (at an angle because its width is larger than the pouch. On the other side is my camera with product manual. They fit just right such that they fit snug and cannot move around. In the front zippered pouch my memory cards fit perfectly into their special slots and the batteries fit in their respective elastic straps also. There was even room above the batteries for another 4 batteries in an additional small mesh pouch. In the zippered front pouch I was able to put some cables in loosly and the thing still closed nicely. The top of the bag velcros shut and then there is a buckle to snap in. This thing is built tough with a nice canvas like waterproof material. On the outside there is another mesh pouch on the side that my USB cable fit right into. On the back is a velcro strap that could be used to attach to a belt. I love the bag and would recommend it for all your small digital camera needs!

Incredible Digicam Bag
If you are looking for a camera bag, this one is it! We got ours nice and cheap at amazon.com. It has separate hand and shoulder straps, several interior pouches, including two that are set up to store 4 AA batteries. It offers plenty of protection so that stuff doesn't spill out--the bag's cover is fastened with a velcro strap, and over this you can fasten a buckle that adds a second layer of protection. The main inside compartment (where you will store the digicam) comes with a moveable/removeable boundary that you can adjust so that however wide your digicam is, it will not bounce around. These guys thought of everything! This bag is well built, with what looks like very strong, water-resistant materials, and should last a very long time!

Great Bag!
Very pleased with this bag. My digital camera (Canon Powershot), battery charger, extra batteries/memory and instruction booklet all fit perfectly inside. It's got lots of little pockets to store all kinds of stuff. My only complaint is that it doesn't have as much padding as I was hoping for, but overall it's been wonderful!

Nice but not big enough
This bag was recommended for a Sony digital camera (DSC v-1), but it is not nearly large enough to hold the compact camera plus the extras (charger, cables and manual). I wanted a compact carrying case, but this is too small to be functional. I do not use it at all and will have to purchase something a bit bigger. worth every penny
I went to a few privately owned camera stores--very overpriced for what they were offering. The Samsonite camera bag is tough, durable, and SPACIOUS. I carry a flash, two lenses, along with my canon elan 7, and I have tons of room to grow, which is what I wanted. Very reasonably priced and well-made.I'm pleased with my purchase.

Great bag - Lots of room and rugged too!
This is the second bag I've owned, and it's great. I looked at a lot of bags and this was easily the best one. I have a 35mm camera, three lenses, flash, lens doubler, and other accessories. I was able to fit everything in it with some room to spare. The bag is durable, light weight, and the construction is top notch. There is plenty of protection for your gear - lots of foam and the bottom is hard under the foam to protect against penetration from underneath. Getting to your gear is easy with the single front clip, yet you can make also make it more secure with the zippers. All zippers are covered for protection from dirt. Even fully loaded the bag is easy to carry with either the handle or shoulder strap. I am very pleased with this bag and definitely recommend it. ... Read more

Legendary Samsonite quality!
Have you ever seen one of those Samsonite luggage commercials on TV? While I doubt that this little camera pouch will be able to withstand the damage by trampling bulls, this little pouch certainly does live up to its Samsonite name. (Samsonite does offer more robust camera cases for those daring individuals should they encounter bulls and the like.)

When I had first purchased my compact digital camera, I was content with sticking it in an old, clean sock. Granted, this wasn't the most stylish way of storing the camera, but I really didn't think much of camera cases and bags at that time. It wasn't until my first vacation with the camera that I realized the importance of a proper camera case. The sock failed to protect my camera against minor dings and often covered the viewfinder with lint.

After I had learned my lesson, I decided to look around for a camera case. What I had found ranged from humongous plastic storage containers that could store lens, battery chargers, and probably a week's supply of food as well to miniscule pouches that looked no different from a purse. Well, the reason I had purchased my compact digital camera (a Canon Powershot, by the way) was because it was COMPACT. To buy one of those huge cases would have nullified any portability of the camera. On the other hand, I didn't want to spend money to buy a pouch that looked like a purse and only offered a slight bit more protection than my sock.

At last, I found the Samsonite pouch. Not only was it small, it was also stylish and rugged at the same time. Its padding would protect my camera against the shocks of travelling abroad and clumsy hands. Unlike the other small purse-like pouches, the Samsonite offered a shoulder strap, making it very convenient to take along on trips and leaving your hands free to carry other items. Should a "Kodak" moment ever arise, you could easily pull out your camera and capture the moment instead of having to rumage through your other luggage to find that camera pouch that you had stowed away.

The only thing lacking in this case are dedicated pockets for extra batteries or storage media. However, this is hardly an issue for me as the pouch still leaves enough room to pack these essential items at the bottom of the case. Overall, I highly recommend this case. At this price point, I simply couldn't be happier with the protection, style, and functionality that the Samsonite offered. ... Read more

This bag is excellent
It has more than enough space for my Cannon EOS Rebel 2000 and all of the standard accessories. Excellent quality and it looks nice too! Terrific product.

Nice big, secure bag
The bag has nice, deep slots, about 1000 compartments and pockets, and a thick, durable flap that goes over the opening for extra security. It's a terrific, classy looking bag that appears to be durable, comfortable, and very convenient.

Works great - passed my field test
I've had mine for about a month, and I like it very much. I visited some shops and checked out many bags, being an obsessive shopper when it comes to camera equipment. I almost bought a Lowepro, but the Samsonites have a good plastic base, so that swayed my decision. I'm always putting the bag down in a damp place, etc. The padding all around is very good -- I feel safe with this bag.

I got this one instead of the next size up, because I'd rather squeeze things in and enjoy the benefits of carrying around a smaller bag. I can fit my Nikon N6006, a 3.8" zoom, 5.4" zoom, 6 rolls of film, cable, close-up lens diopter, battery, lens cloth, and handbook.

This morning as the sun was coming up, I was out at the Audobon reserve near an estuary here in Brunswick, Maine. It was about 10 degrees F, and the layer of ice/snow was covered with a newer layer of snow. After about 2 hours and many shots, I returned home with all the gear in good shape. The bag passed the test!

A very nice bag
This camera bag is an excellent step up from the original bag included with your camera. The pockets are extremely flexible giving you plenty of options for storage. I keep my Minolta X-370, with a 50mm lens, an 80-200mm zoom lens, a flash, and shutter release cable in the main section with room to spare. The other pockets are great for filters, film, batteries, and the manual. The only caution that I have is that the 200mm lens doesn't fit as nicely in the dividers as I would like. It's slightly too tall but is still comfortably held in place. The only way to avoid this problem would be to get the bigger bag, but the bulkiness of that bag would be a tough trade off. Purchased This for My Canon REBEL
For years, I carried my Canon REBEL in a flimsy camera bag and decided to upgrade to a sturdier Samsonite bag after certain features stopped functioning and the lens broke (35mm-28mm) due to the lack of padding and shock resistance. (I also decided to get another Samsonite Worldproof because I previously purchased a Samsonite Worldproof 4.1 for an 8mm video recorder and was very happy with it.) This bag is great for my camera, although I wish there was just a bit more compartment space to store my extra film in a more protected manner, rather than the side mesh pockets. Furthermore, although this houses the camera decently and there are adjustable cells, I wish there was more room to allow the camera to fit in more deeply so that the camera straps can fit without having to stuff it in. There is an inside mesh/zip/pocket on the lid, and you can use that to store something small and/or slim. What I will enjoy most of all is the fact that this bag is very sturdy and dirt resistant, and will be a more attractive camera case to carry. Although not too ample in space, this is a good bag overall.

Good purchase for amateurs
This bag has ample space to carry one SLR camera with a lens of decent size. There is room for an extra lens or flash unit under the actual camera compartment, as well as two small side-pouches on the outside, say for keeping extra film. Very Good Buy
This Was An EXTREMELY Good Buy. It Is Perfect For My Camcorder. I Love It!

Purchased This for My CANON es8200V
I bought the Samsonite Worldproof 4.1 to house a Canon es8200V. The bag is perfect for the camcorder, and wastes little space so that you can still enjoy an overall compact convenience. Along with a buckle that secures the lid, the main compartment is further secured by a zipper which is hidden under the hood of the lid, preventing it from clinking annoyingly or accidentally unzipping. There is mesh netting on the inside of the top lid that you can use to store something slim. Also, there are mesh pockets on each side of the case. Even with the camcorder inside, I still have a couple of inches to spare, just enough to use the adjustable partition to store the adapter. Additionally, the front pocket can store videotapes, etc. The one thing that I found different from the posted image is that the blue coloring isn't nearly as bright as it appears. Although much more subdued, I find that the actual blue color is much more fashionable and blends in nicely with the black. The padding is ample, and the material is water resistant and durable.

Handsome, Well Constructed, and Good Size
I just purchased this item and I must say it is perfect! It holds my camera (Canon Rebel 2000) w/ lens 28-200mm attached, a 70-300mm lens, and a flash. It has pockets for my film, filters, cleaning cloths, batteries, everything you need to keep with your camera. I bought this because I wanted a bag that would hold all my stuff, but was not cumbersome to carry around. It also seals the main compartment really tight; I bet it works great in the rain. This is a top-notch bag for an aggressive amateur or anyone who wants to travel light without forgetting the essentials.
