Nice looking bag
I purchased the Samsonite Worldproof Intermidiate Camcorder bag a couple of days ago from another well know e-store, I found the bag to be suprisingly worldproof, it is well designed, with plenty of padding and enough room to fit my sony TRV58 handycam and Hewlett Packard c200 digital camera along with my NiMH baterry recharger and the camcorder adapters. The worldproof sign does not appear on the bag contrary to the picture up above, I like that, the worldproof logo would seem a bit redundant. The bag is very strong and looks like it can take a beating or two, which is great for me since we get alot of rain down here in Puerto Rico. Samsonite also gives you a lifetime warranty, so you can't go wrong.

Nice for Palmcorders

Perfect - Almost
I purchased this for my Canon S30 (great camera BTW). The bag fits it well, it's compact, has decent padding and has just enough storage. I store a spare battery in the same compartment as the camera and I store my charger in the front pocket. This way I have everything in the bag.

OK. Well, what am I dissatisfied with? One minor flaw, the shoulder strap is sewn in. You can not detach it, you are stuck with it dangling around even if you want to carry it in your hand. It would have been nice to have a detachable strap. After-the-fact, I noticed just about all other camera bags have a detachable strap, now I know why.

I tried to use it as a waist belt (as another reviewer had mentioned). Initially it sounded like a good idea, but there were a couple of problems using it like that. To put it on or take it off your waist, you need to loosen/tighten the strap and pull it over your head. If it had a buckle (or a detachable strap), this would not be a problem. Also, the stap is sewn up and down, so there is a twist in the strap when you put it around your waist. This was somewhat uncomfortable. This waist strap "feature" worked for someone else and it may work for you. But, I would never use it that way.

All-in-all a good buy.

A very good product and a highly recommended buy
I bought this camera bag for my Canon S40. Looking around I ended up with this bag since it combines good quality and price. It is a very small and nice bag, which is easy to bring whenever you need your camera.

Most days, when I don't use my camera, I store everything in the camera bag, e.g., camera, extra battery, battery charger, 2 flash cards and a plug converter. All fits, which is nice, keeping all accessories stored at one place. The battery charger and one of the flash cards are stored in the front pocket and in the big pocket I store the rest. However, whenever I use the camera, I remove the battery charger and the plug converter from the camera bag, so that I can store the extra battery and the flash cards in the front pocket. This way, I will only have the camera in the big pocket so nothing accidentally drops out when I grab the camera to capture that moment.

I have used the camera bag for a 10-day vacation in which I visited crowded places such as Seaworld and Magic Mountain. These days I used the camera bag as a "waist bag" by tightening the strap around my waist just enough to keep the camera bag comfortably attached. This way I could have easy access to the camera and safely bring the camera bag in the roller coasters. Furthermore, this way of wearing makes it really hard for a potential thief to steal it. Moreover, the camera bag can comfortably be worn as it was supposed to do thanks to the easy-to-adjust strap. However, this strap is not detachable but I don't see why anyone would want to detach it.

Overall, a very good product and a highly recommended buy.

Great for HP Photosmarts
Well aside from what has been said, I will say the velcro part could be annoying, however it is big and secure enough to make you feel safe for the avg user who wants just a camera and nothing more professional, has extra storage for batteries and your usb cable. All in all, better then nothing and good for the value. You wont feel the need to get rid of it anytime soon.

I bought this carry case for our point-and-shoot Kodak digital camera. The quality and value are terrific.

If you own a small point-and-shoot camera - seriously consider getting this bag. Just compare the dimensions of the bag and your camera first, to make sure the camera will fit inside it.

Attractive, protective and a good value
Overall I like the case very much. It's a little big for my Canon Powershot S45, but the extra room is tolerable and might be handy later for carrying other stuff. The front pocket is just the right size for my usb small card reader, extra CF card and battery. I like the dual protection for the camera (velcro and plastic latch) and the fact that the lid entirely covers the camera pocket (protects against rain), it would be nice to have a hard case for the really bumpy rides. A Perfect Fit!
After purchasing my first camcorder, the next thing was to pick up a nice case to keep my investment safe. My initial reason for purchasing this bag, was because of the Samsonite name. However, once I received the bag my pleasure went beyond the name. Besides a numerous amount of pocket space to hold all your extra goodies, the main compartment has an adjustable Velcro divider that holds your camera snug while you're on the go. There could not be a better little digicam bag!
I am an amateur film photographer who has switched to digital for my snapshots. I keep a Fuji FinePix 2650 in this bag. Like I expect from a 35mm SLR camera bag, it is roomy and sturdy. It can carry the camera and then some. The front features elastic bands that will grip 4 AA batteries nicely and space for 3 memory cards. There also is a small mesh pouch. All this is protected by a zippered flap that comes up and buckles to the top. The bag closes nicely keeping your equipment clean. The bag is well padded and very sturdy. The main pouch has padded divider fastened with velcro like you would see in a good SLR bag.

I would not let the other comments about the buckle discourage you from getting this bag. It takes some getting used to since it is so small and stiff at first, but it is quite secure. And you don't need to bother with it much since the front flap zippers up and the top flap fits snugly and has a bit of velcro to hold it down even without the buckle. I did read one review that said the buckle is "upside-down." This orientation is actually how many good camera bags are. They make opening it one-handed much easier since the buckle will open and fall out of the way rather than dangle off the top flap.

I can't say much more. This is the best little digicam bag I have yet to see. The most impressive thing is how well it is built. I haven't given it the Samsonite gorilla test, but I did have it get kicked around a bit under the seats at a baseball game. No damage to the bag or contents ... and the mustard came right off!

The perfect size for my Digital Camera Needs
The Camera Bag turned out to be absolutely perfect for my needs. My Olympus D-550 camera fits perfectly into the pouch. The pouch has a padded removable velcro divider. My Kodak Max K2000 battery charger fits great on the other side (at an angle because its width is larger than the pouch. On the other side is my camera with product manual. They fit just right such that they fit snug and cannot move around. In the front zippered pouch my memory cards fit perfectly into their special slots and the batteries fit in their respective elastic straps also. There was even room above the batteries for another 4 batteries in an additional small mesh pouch. In the zippered front pouch I was able to put some cables in loosly and the thing still closed nicely. The top of the bag velcros shut and then there is a buckle to snap in. This thing is built tough with a nice canvas like waterproof material. On the outside there is another mesh pouch on the side that my USB cable fit right into. On the back is a velcro strap that could be used to attach to a belt. I love the bag and would recommend it for all your small digital camera needs!

Incredible Digicam Bag
If you are looking for a camera bag, this one is it! We got ours nice and cheap at amazon.com. It has separate hand and shoulder straps, several interior pouches, including two that are set up to store 4 AA batteries. It offers plenty of protection so that stuff doesn't spill out--the bag's cover is fastened with a velcro strap, and over this you can fasten a buckle that adds a second layer of protection. The main inside compartment (where you will store the digicam) comes with a moveable/removeable boundary that you can adjust so that however wide your digicam is, it will not bounce around. These guys thought of everything! This bag is well built, with what looks like very strong, water-resistant materials, and should last a very long time!

Great Bag!
Very pleased with this bag. My digital camera (Canon Powershot), battery charger, extra batteries/memory and instruction booklet all fit perfectly inside. It's got lots of little pockets to store all kinds of stuff. My only complaint is that it doesn't have as much padding as I was hoping for, but overall it's been wonderful!

Nice but not big enough
This bag was recommended for a Sony digital camera (DSC v-1), but it is not nearly large enough to hold the compact camera plus the extras (charger, cables and manual). I wanted a compact carrying case, but this is too small to be functional. I do not use it at all and will have to purchase something a bit bigger. Excellent Camera Bag
The bag is adequate for a typical 35mm SLR camera with a zoom lens of length comparable to a 60-300 or an 80-200 lens. The bag is attractive on the outside and provides couple of mesh side pockets for storage. I store extra film and my camera manual in the side pockets. The pockets are too small for anything bigger. The inside is padded with two adjustable supports that are affixed to the inside with velcro. The supports can be moved to adjust to the size of the camera and lens. The bag closes with a zipper for water proofing and a clasp. If you have accessories, such as a detachable flash or an extra lens, go for the bigger bags. This bag has no room for accessories. Great Buy !
Bag is for my Canon Optura Xi camcorder. It is all I need to keep up with the camera and accessories. Size adjustable inside lining is eazy to fit to camera dimensions. Front compartment holds various cables, battery charger and an extra battery. Room in the end compartments for extra DV tapes.

Fabulous deal on a camera bag
I bought another brand of bag for my Canon 35mm last year. For the same price, it wasn't nearly as roomy or convenient. This is marketed toward camcorder purchasers, but it's too bad I didn't know about it last year for my Rebel EOS. It has more room for lenses, cleaning materials, booklets...even a snack!

Very Nice Bag, Good Investment
Although this is a camcorder bag, I use it for my camera. It has all the compartments that I need for all my accessories. It's VERY durable, easy to use, and the compartments are are nicely sized. My only complaint is that I wish it was just a little deeper in the compartment that stores the camera.

Zippers are a potential problem, otherwise excellent
The first bag was great for a week until one of the zippers went broken. I exchanged it and the second one works well so far. The bag is just about the right size for my digital camera and its accessories. It has a lot of small pockets that hold CF cards, recharger, cables and so on. Bag is well made. Comparable to the bags 5-10 bucks more expensive. Samsonite could have chosen better quality zippers to make this bag five-star.

I bought this bag for my Panasonic DMC-FZ10 digital camera and it is just great. It has an adjustable inside lining so you can customize it to fit your camera or camcorder perfectly. Besides that, the compartment on the front fits all the catalogs and cables and the ones on the sides are perfect for extra batteries, charger and lens filters. All together there are 5 different compartments, besides the main camera compartment, so storage is not an issue with this bag. However, if you are a professional photographer and use more than 5 filters and additional lenses, you may need something a little bigger. Great bag!
This bag is very sturdy and padded. The description is pretty scanty, but I took a chance and bought it. Glad I did. The bag holds my JVC GR-DVL805U mini DV camcorder, the strap, battery, AC adaptor cord, 4 tapes, the remote, and all connector cables. It's kind of a tight squeeze with all those accesories, but the bag is compact, comfortable, and easy to carry, with the camcorder still being protected. The bag also comes with a lifetime guarantee against defect. The only thing that could be improved is that it's awkward to get the camcorder in or out of the bag while carrying it with the strap over the shoulder; the zipper is hard to reach and goes all the way around the top. That's the only thing that could be improved, and could be considered a safety feature, because the camcorder certainly won't come out unexpectedly. The bag is also very durable and nice looking. Pretty good bag
This is a pretty good bag, sturdy and well made. I was disappointed though, with the closed cell dividers. I can't figure out exactly how to use them to effectively cradle the camera without wasting space. My digital SLR fits well if laid on its side, but the extra compartments will hold only one set of batteries with charger in the front compartment - the side "fishnet" compartments are too small for this purpose and seem too insecure for anything valuable.

Excellent well made bag.
I have a Nikon D70 SLR. Normally I have a 28 to 200 lens on the camera. I wanted a bag that would protect the camera and let me carry a few extra items such as memory cards, spare battery and a my eye glasses. This bag is perfect. My camera has to be on its side to fit but that is not a problem. If you have to carry all of your lenses with you everywhere you go then this bag is not for you but if you want simple light weight protection for your camera while out having fun, then this is the bag for you.

Worth searching for!
I just bought a Digital Rebel and a bunch of accessories... this bag takes it all without a sweat. Yeah, it is large, but that's what you need if you're serious about your photography.

Here's what mine holds: Digital Rebel, 18-55mm lens, 55-200mm lens, 420EX Speedlite, filters (several in one case), extra batteries and small manuals. I even carry my old Canon PowerShot for quick shots. I had to play with it a bit to customize it -- as expected with a "generic" case -- but everything fits excellently.

The interior dimensions are: 9 x 5 x 7 (to top of dividers - 9 to rim of bag) inches (LxWxH). You get two adjustable dividers for the main compartment. There is nice .5 in. padding on the walls. There is a mesh holder on the inside of the lid. There is a tough front pouch with filter pockets, another mesh holder and space for thin items. And there are mesh side pockets with drawstrings.

Finding a configuration was interesting, and I didn't follow their suggestion, but it works. I have my flash, camera (body) and big lens standing vertically. I keep the standard lens sitting on top in bubble wrap. (It barely moves, really.) My PowerShot fits perfectly on the other side. (Their suggestion is to keep the lens attached and pointing downward in the center space, so you can just pull out the camera and shoot.)

The materials are tough where they need to be... and gentle where you want them to be. The whole outer shell is fine suitcase-quality. It has a stiff bottom with plastic feet. The top handle is very comfortable and soft. It comes with a shoulder strap (sewn-on).

Because of its size, I don't always want to carry it everywhere. So I also bought a Tamrac Small Lens Case. That'll carry my other lens, battery and CF card... the essentials.

The only "complaint" I have about the Samsonite bag is that once you put enough stuff in the front pouch its center of gravity shifts forward and it falls on its face. However, this is FAR from anything to be upset about.

I expect this bag to last a long time -- it is "guaranteed for life", after all -- and I am very happy I didn't settle for one of the default Canon bags.

Great for my new Canon EOS Rebel Ti, film, lenses and more!
This is a great bag --- it is light, durable, functional & holds just about anything you might need to drag along.....

As another customer said, it IS a bit on the big side -- but I think that's a plus! As far as it being too big to want to take along just about everywhere [even on vacation, to a ball game or whatever] --- it's definitely not too big..... In fact, it's just right.

I've found that I can just throw my car keys, sunglasses, lip balm & wallet/checkbook right inside --- there's plenty of room! This way I don't have to lug a purse or backpack with my other essentials in it.....

I'd say this is a must have. I carried a 35mm camera & extra lenses around without a camera bag for years --- I don't know what I was thinking. Luckily I decided to treat my new Canon Rebel right & get it this wonderful little home.

A camera bag that could hold Canada
I ordered this bag to hold only my SLR camera, but was amazed at the size of it. It is big enough to hold 2 to 3 lens, plus flashes and almost any photo equipment you can think of- minus the tripod. This is a bag for a serious photographer, since most people would not need this much room. The drawback of the bag is that it is quite big, so it is not ideal if you are having to haul it around on vacation. It is how ever one of the best bags that I have seen in a long time. It has the wonderful quality that Samsonite is known for, and will last a long time. If you need the room in your bag for lens and filters, film and flashes then this would be an excellent choice. great bag
Easily holds my canon elan 7 and rebel 2000 cameras, along with speedlite and 3 (1 telephoto zoom) lenses. Ample room to spare. Compartments hold accessories and room for loads of film.

Nice Bag
It is a nice camera bag but I found the picture and description deceiving. It is far larger than it looks. I wanted something that would hold a digital SLR and a flash along with extra batteries and a charge. What I got is something that will hold over twice that with room to spare. The bag is nearly a foot deep so their is plenty of space for long lenses and other goodies. I'll keep it for my take everything trips, but I'm going to have to find something smaller to accomidate my typical equipment needs.

Great sturdy bag for the small-equipment amateur
I bought this bag when I first started photographing as a hobby. It has been with me since, through the muck and filth, and has managed to protect all my equipment from the elements without fail. It has PLENTY of space for a reasonable amount of equipment. Mine is stocked with a Canon 35mm (with lens attached), a wide angle lens, tele-zoom lens, flash, filters, and all my cleaning tools. I haven't had any of the problems mentioned about some other bags (leaking, ripping, fabric knotting, zipper failing). Although I'm moving up to more and larger equipment, this will always be my casual shooter bag!

The only qualm I have with this bag is the shoulder strap. The strap is just a plain nylon strap with no slip prevention or shoulder padding. I believe that Samsonite might have considered (with the large capacity of this bag) providing a non-slip padded cover for the strap. Long treks yield a lot of pulling the bag back up on your shoulder and PAINFUL welts. Thus the 4 stars.

Not too shabby
This is a pretty decent product. More room than I expected, but the shoulder strap really needs to go. There's absolutely nothing special about it. It could used some sort of padding on it too.
The bag fits my Canon EOS IX Lite 2 lenses, a flash, the owner's manual, 5 rolls of film, and I've still got room.

Loaded with space and pockets!
Before I had this bag, I had a cheap nylon bag that came with my camera. It was OK, but not like this! This one has everything!

Packed with pockets, customizable dividers, large front accessory pocket, and side mesh - it has it all. Great for a 35mm SLR camera and at LEAST two lenses and a flash. Plus, it holds around 3 rolls of extra film! You could use this for a compact camcorder, but make sure you know the measurements.

The only drawback is the shoulder strap - which is just OK, nothing special. ... Read more

Nice case, but doesnt fit digital I-Zone
This is a very nice quality camera bag for the I-Zone Polaroid cameras, but it will not fit the digital/polaroid combo. The price is excellent, the quality superb, but I will probably break even by sending it back and paying shipping costs.

The camera fits fine. Just wish it had some where to put a couple of film boxes.
