The sound was great, and I really loved how easy and logical the modified joysick-style selector button works. A week later, and after loading over 19GB of data to its hard drive, the thing simply locked-up and would not reboot. Fry's promptly replaced it for another. The second player's screen began to fade beyond readability after 4 days. That window gave me time to remove most of my data, and return the second Juke Jam to the store. This time, I traded it for the Zen Xtra. I have had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS with the Creative Labs model. The product rep was there in the store. He told me they recently upgraded the firmware, allowing simple drag-and-drop tranfer of data. It not only performs better, but it also has an AWESOME EAX sound enhancement tool. Honestly, it made my very basic car stereo sound like I was listening to my BOSE home theater!!! He mentioned they should be releasing a player with an FM-tuner soon, but I wanted my portable music option sooner. The features of these two items may appear to be similiar; in fact, the Polaroid features look better. But, I have to put my money (nearly $300.00) where the quality is. Creative Labs created a portable music experience! I don't mean to sound like some kind of spokesman for CL, but this thing simply ROCKS!!! Did I mention it's nearly $200.00 cheaper than the IPOD (which by the way, does not play the smaller sized, better quality WMA files). I LOVE the size of the IPOD, but that feature doesn't come close to justifying it's $489.00 price tag. Macintosh has once again, priced themselves out of the market. Sure there are thousands of people that have IPODs, but they could have cornered the entire MP3 portalbe player market. Fortunately, Apple once again let the competition create feature packed players for $100.00's of dollars less. If you want real quality in a player that plays MP3, WMA's, and features an unmatched sound processor, go with the Zen Xtra. If you've got the money, and don't really need as much space as I do, get the IPOD. Otherwise, wait for more of the research and design to shake-out in this industry. There are sure to be some very interesting innovations coming to this Christmas!!! ... Read more

Amazon.com Review Each i-zone set comes with a camera and two AA alkaline batteries. Film is sold separately. Loading the camera is aseasy as dropping the film cartridge into the back of the camera and closing itback up. The trickiest part is remembering to pull the film tab out in one fluidmotion, without stopping--exactly like most other Polaroids. When you expose ashot and pull out the film, you get something that looks like a Band-Aid, withan image in the middle and extra paper on both ends. Just clip the extra paperoff with a pair of scissors and you have your final product. Be careful not tocut into the actual photo as you don't want to give the caustic paste inside achance to seep out and get on your fingers. There are three exposure settings on the i-zone--indoors (with flash),outdoor/sunny, and outdoor/cloudy. Overall, the camera is probably best forsubjects within 2 to 8 feet, although we took pictures of downtown buildingsthat turned out pretty well. The outdoor/sunny setting requires bright sundirectly on the subject for a good exposure. Even if it isn't cloudy, try usingthe outdoor/cloudy setting if the subject is in shadow or if it is early or latein the day when the sunlight isn't at full strength. The flash seems to workbest from about 4 to 5 feet away. The best part is figuring out what to do with the miniphotos once you've createdthem. The options seem to be limitless, from decorating cell phones to puttingthem in miniframes to creating photo albums. These cameras are affordable, simple to use, and a lot of fun. --Walt Opie Features Reviews (59)
This is a great camera to throw in your backpack and have handy at a moment's notice.
I've been a fan of it since it was invented, and I still am, even though I own digital cameras five hundred times more expensive. Casual photos are all about what you can do with them. The i-zone doesn't just produce pictures, it produces toys. Give them to people. Stick them on things. Take one of these to the pub and you'll get people queuing up to have their picture taken. Send them on postcards - many times cheaper and more convenient than a pocket-sized printer and glue. Basically this camera is perfect for grown-ups with lives, as well as teenagers. And it's not exactly expensive either. If you like taking spontaneous photos, this is the device for you. No other camera has brought me as much enjoyment. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review Each i-zone set comes complete with camera, instant pocket film (six shots), andtwo AA alkaline batteries--everything you need to start making pictures. Amazon.com Product Description This i-zone isn't just the old version with colorful faceplates, however. Polaroid has also redesigned the entire body with a sleeker, more aerodynamic shape and feel; the smaller body fits into a pocket or bag easier than ever. But the new look does not affect the easy-to-use features of the original i-zone camera. It is still focus-free, with a built-in flash and simple film loading. The three settings, indoors (with flash), outdoor/sunny, and outdoor/cloudy allow you to pick the best mode for your scene or subject, adding to your creative control. Capture lots of fun moments with instant pictures the size of a postage stamp, using either sticky or nonsticky film, then let your creativity go wild. Decorate notebooks, folders, invitations, anything you can think of! The more unique, the better. These mini-pictures are ideal for sharing and trading with your friends. The possibilities are endless, so be sure to stock up on plenty of extra film. Features Reviews (12)

I can mention the obvious ones: 1. An I-Zone Camera (in the color of your choice) 2. Some I-Zone pictures (plain or sticky, again your choice) that you want to scan 3. A working computer with Win9x/NT/2000/ME, CD/DVD drive and the usual range of ports 4. This Webster Scanner, which comes with serial cable, CD (with lots of good image-related software) and 4 AAA batteries That's it. What else do you need??? Product Review: The scanner is pretty easy to use. Just hold the scanner over the picture, press the button, and voila! The picture is scanned and an image of it is stored (up to 20 images) in the scanner to be exported to your computer or to be uploaded to the internet via included serial cable at a later time. The images produced are small -- about 250x350 pixels. The quality of the images aren't of the best commercial quality, but they're good enough for their intended use -- to be able to make copies of your i-zone pictures to share with everybody else. You can also scan small areas of other things such as text, postage stamps (*shrug* Why not?), other photos, magazines, etc. Nothing to stop you from doing this after all. The CD comes with software and drivers you need to import pictures from your Webster scanner, plus some fun quality extras to dress them up. The scanner itself is lightweight, but a bit fragile. It comes with a handy carrying strap, but I wouldn't exactly swing it around carelessly. The opening to the battery compartment can easily pop out and the batteries don't quite fit in snugly. This scanner definitely needs either a protective carrying case and/or improved outer casing. (How about it Polaroid?) Overall, the Webster scanner is just a fun addition to the I-Zone line of products. While you won't get the best image quality, you no longer have to fight over who gets to keep the picture!
The great thing about the Webster is that you can throw it in your backpack and carry it with you (it's powered by batteries). The other great thing is the price, for under ten bucks you can't beat it.
THIS REALLY IS A NEAT DEVICE TO USE WITH YOUR IZONE CAMERA. THE PROGRAM IS EASY TO INSTALL ON YOUR COMPUTER AND THEN YOU PLUG THE SCANNER IN. IT IS LIGHTWEIGHT AND SMALL SO YOU CAN TAKE THE SCANNER ANYWHERE WITH YOU AND YOUR IZONE. YOU MUST USE BATTERIES AND BE SURE TO BRING SPARE SINCE IT [takes] THE LIFE OUT OF THEM. BUT DON'T CHANGE THE BATTERIES WHILE YOU HAVE PHOTOS SAVED ON IT OR THEY WILL BE LOST. IT HOLDS 20 PHOTOS SO YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THEM ONTO YOUR COMPUTER TO PUT MORE. I FOUND THE PROGRAM VERY EASY TO USE AND FUN. YOU CAN DOCREATIVE THINGS TO THE PHOTOS ONCE THEY ARE ON THE COMPUTER AND INTO THE PROGRAM.

However, As many other people have stated, it isn't really worth the extra money for the "sticky" aspect of this film. Save some money and use it to buy more of the regular i-Zone film.
Note that you'll need scissors or a pocket knife to cut off the sides of the film - tearing it by hand is not that easy.
The film was great. The only thing I would like is if it were easier to cut the picture from the excess paper. It was a pain to have to cut each picture. It would have been nice if it were perferated or something to not have to use scissors.
