1-0 out of 5 stars Garbage
I have never in my life struggled so much to operate a digital camera. I have some experience in hooking digicams up, but this was the absolute worst. The instruction manual is terrible, this thing has horrible battery life, and the picture quality is unacceptable. Spare yourself the trouble and don't get this camera. This was just another corporate screw-up. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor Performance
I purchased this product. Contacted the Company to make sure My camera was compatable and which connection to use. I charged the battery overnight. Then took it to my kids first swim lessong. Excellent performance. After that one day I could never get a shot out of it. I could Charge it over night for for 2 days. It won't even power on my camera any more. I haven't contacted Unity, but I wouldn't suggest this product to anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pro Power Pack is great for all, not just pros.
My Nikon 990 went through AA batteries at an alarming rate. In fact, I thought at first something was wrong with the camera. I could only get a few shots out of a set. I was spending a lot of money on batteries. I almost gave up digital photography altogether.

A friend said that his ProPower Pack solved his problem....

When I got it, I wasn't satisfied with the shooting time so I called Unity Digital, the manufacturer. Turns out I ordered the wrong model and instead of going through all the hassles, expense, etc. by returning it through the system, Unity Digital handled it very quickly and easily and directly.

The model I have now (Model V) is FANTASTIC! It's already paid for itself and more by saving the $ on AA batteries. And the company's customer service is great, possibly the best I've ever encountered. I only wish all companies could be like this.

If you are spending more $ on AA batteries than you once thought possible, buy the ProPower Pack. I can shoot ALL day without changing batteries or losing those precious Kodak, er...Nikon, moments.

5-0 out of 5 stars Freedom from batteries and A/C adapters!
After purchasing a Kodak 280 digital camera, I soon discovered that the warnings about rapid battery drainage with digital cameras were very true. After much research, I decided to try the Unity ProPower Pack (Model 5) to see if I could use my camera for extended periods without the hassle of an A/C adapter or frequent battery changes. What a treat this product turned out to be! Not only do I have unlimited freedom from the worries of low batteries and being tied to an A/C adapter, I can even remove the batteries from the camera while using the ProPower Pack to lighten the load. The ProPower Pack is small, light, and easily attaches to your waistband or belt. It comes with the recharging adapter and the cable necessary for connecting to your camera. I can usually get 4 to 5 hours of continous use of my camera while using the ProPower Pack. It will keep a charge most of the day, if I turn off the camera while not in use. Plenty of time to get tons of outdoor shots. I even use this product when downloading my photos from the camera to the computer. The product does require an initial charge for 24 hours, and subsequent charges after a day of use is overnight, (about 10 hours). My only complaint is that I wish the product was equipped with an indicator light while recharging to let you know when it is fully charged. But, I have not had a problem with just recharging it overnight and getting a full charge for the next day of use. If you crave the freedom from an A/C adapter and loathe buying batteries, this product is for you! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars ProPower Pack to the RESCUE!!!!!!!
Well.... I tried the Unity Digital ProPower Pack and have had great success with it. Some others on this site had mentioned problems, but the three I bought work great. I think the key to success is buying the right ProPower Pack for your camera and make sure that you fully charge the pack before you use it. It is a trickle charge system and should be charged overnight for the results you expect. This isn't just a cell phone battery!!! Anyway, after the first one worked so well, I decided to buy another version for my Compaq iPAQ.... it is amazing how long this rechargeable battery system keeps my digital camera and iPAQ up and working!!! I bought a third one for a friend that uses it with his camcorder and he LOVES IT!!! Plus... like Unity's web site says, this thing has more than paid for itself in convenience and battery's that I would have had to buy. That pretty much makes it free. I think this product ROCKS!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Not worth it
I purchased two of these units and neither one has operated properly. They will not charge completely if at all. Do not waste your money on this product.

1-0 out of 5 stars Fails to work.
The product will not hold a charge. Will not charge the flash on my camera. This time it's going back.

1-0 out of 5 stars Everything seems to be missing.
I purchased this power pack for my HP Camera. The first thing I noticed was the lack of instructions in the box. There was NO paperwork included with the product. It also contained to adapter fittings, niether of which listed my camera on thier description - althoug, according to the ... Page, and the Unity Digital page, this is the exact model to use with my camera. (I did try it out after assumiing the battery would need to be charged for 12 hours like most, and tried the fitting that fit the camera. It worked right the first time, and since then it has not been able to take a picture - reads dead battery on the camera.... perhaps if I had instructions on how long to charge it.....) Overall, neat idea. I WILL try another one, but frankly, I was sadly disappointed with what I got.

4-0 out of 5 stars Save money and the environment!
Portable battery with belt clip works wonderfully as advertised. On my Olympus I can get about 50 pictures (mixed flash/no flash). Also allows your camera to recycle the flash faster. Only reason it's 4 stars and not 5, because there is always room for improvement: smaller battery, longer lasting would be ideal. ... Read more
