A superb value
Short of a pair of Fujis costing twice as much, I can't think of a better choice for the outdoorsman or boater. I have a pair I've owned for about three years now that always accompany me in a boat.

There are a lot of binoculars advertised as "waterproof" that will fog up in a moderate downpour- including some cheaper units sold under the Tasco label. But these are the real deal. Complete waterproofing, individual eye focusing, and built-inprotective eyepiece and objective lens covers. Nothing to fall overseas or get lost in the lockers. You can also get a slightly pricier version with a built in compass.

They're sharp and contrasty- more so than most inexpensive binos- shock resistent, waterproof and small enough to be handy. A good value all around. Certainly the best choice in boating glass. ... Read more

This is a microscope the way a paper tube is a telescope!
A VERY disappointing Christmas gift for my son the budding scientist. You can't really see through it at all. It is more of a toy than the "microscope" it is advertised as. I'd recommend spending $20 on something more substantial and not dashing someone's hopes. ... Read more

impressive
Great value. Highly adjustable for those whose eyes are practically on the side of their head to those whose eyes are right next to each other.
10x zoom is sufficient, better than 8x, and 12x+ would be nice, of course.
25mm lens is a little small for nighttime use as it doesn't capture enough light, but then, they aren't nite vision goggles, either. :) At the same time, anything larger would change the sleek design.
Just get 'em. If they aren't good enough, buy another pair and keep these around as backup. If they're better than you expected... oh well...

I wasn't sure to expect when I ordered these. I always figure you get what you pay for, but I honestly believe I got MORE! No, they won't match a pair of $100+ binoculars, but if you want an inexpensive pair to keep in the car or suitcase, YOU WILL BE PLEASED! Much better than I expected! ... Read more

Great Sights
I have been researching binoculars for long time. The 124RB is a quality binocular. The fully coated lens, the zoom feature and the BAK-4 prisms. I finally found a good price for the Tasco model no. 124RB. It is worth every $262 I paid. If you don't have steady hands make sure you get the tripod.

Outrageous product for the price
I've had my Tasco 12-60X/70mm binoculars for quite a while now. They do take a little getting used to, and if you are going to use them at a high power zoom - you HAVE to get a secure tripod or other mount for it. You also must aquaint yourself with how to adjust the eyepieces to allow you to use the binoculars without your glasses. I have a severe pair of glasses and this pair of binoculars has enough latitude to adjust to MY eyes. The Rubicon lenses are stellar. I believe the capabilities, the quality and size of these binoculars is without parallel under $.... The one question to ask is what are you going to use the binoculars for? A nice little non zoom 7X/50 or other will be a better fit for many uses. But if high power, zoom and large lenses for use even when the light is less than optimal are what you are looking for - you would be hard pressed to do better than these binoculars.

Tripod Adapter
The tripod adapter is no egough sturdy to support binos, so you will have problem with vibratios.

DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE OTHER REVIEW
I think, the w.l.jones had a problem using the binoculars! Probably never used zoom binoculars before and didn't know how to focus them properly! The binoculars are great for the price and (Tasco is not stupid, to come with a terrible finish product) the quality. I have seen other expensive binoculars much less power and very very expensive price tag! Wow! People pay $700 to $1500 for binoculars that are half as powerful! This is a great buy at this price!

Disappointing performance
These binoculars are fine at 12X, but almost totally unusable above 20X. The field of view becomes increasingly smaller until at 60X you are looking through a fuzzy peephole.
