Be Careful What You Buy Here!
I ordered this camera, and paid for it. When the camera arrived; it did not work. I now find that I have no recourse at all. I am out all my money for a camcorder that is useless. So, be careful what you buy on this web site. I will never be here again.Note: the one star rating is because there is no "0" star rating.

Telecasting Camera
I've own a camera just like this one (model-cc4362) For 3-4 years now and it's great except for recording around or in loud noices. I actually Televise with mines, although I Looking for a digital camera to televise with, but this one is doing a great job for now. It has help me to make Thousands of Memories for lot of peoples ,but most of all my Church.

Good Camcorder / Bad Battery
I purchased the RCA CC4352 Full-Size VHS Camcorder nearly 2 years ago and found it simple to use. For the price, its an excellent camcorder and it takes quality video's. The only problem I've had is that the battery went dead after 6 months and it could no longer be recharged. The recharger works, but the battery is worthless. I have also been unable to locate a new battery, so I'm limited to using the camcorder with the plug-in adapter. I was also disappointed that no software came with the unit to enable the user to download pictures onto a computer.

Fun for Family Use
We received this camcorder last week. Although there is so much new technology available these days, it is so nice and simple to simply record something and then just pop the tape into the VCR to see what was recorded. The kids love it, and it is so nice to have less equipment around to play back your tape.

It is not too heavy or cumbersome to use.

Best VHS-C Camcorder We Have Had.
It is the best camera we have had so far. It is our 3rd. and by far the best for the money.

We love it!
We purchased this model a few weeks ago after our 1996 camcorder went to "a better place". We are so happy with this camera! It has all the options that we need and that pop out viewing screen is the best! It is very easy to use and the videos are great. What more can a consumer ask for???

I need to learn more
I have had this RCA pro 8x zoom auto focus for about two weeks and it has been a joy doing the basic things with it, it shows a very good picture and it is very light weight, I would like to learn more about it, but I do not have the manual, can you PLEASE help me by getting me a manual, If you need more information about the camcorder just let me know and I will send it to you. Great Camcorder
The size of this camcorder makes it very convenient and it is very user-friendly. You are able to record and view what you have recorded. With a simple attachment you are able to view it on TV. For the price it is a great value because you are getting the basics of what you really need without all the extras that you will not use a whole lot and it is not too complicated to figure out.

Best Camera!!!!!!
I wasn't expecting much from this camera especially from the low price. I was very pleasantly surprised to find the quality of this camera. The zoom feature at 16x is excellent and the picture comes out good. You can use either alkaline AA batteries or the Ni-Cad battery pack or if you have an outlet nearby you can connect to any AC outlet! This camera even works in the dark due to the AE(Auto Exposure) feature. This a great buy!!!!

Great Camera
After having researched many camcorders, I found this to be the most economical, with the extra features and perks you would want. It has GREAT quality in both the tape replay and the view on the lcd. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a new cam corder, whether they be replacing a current one, or to anyone who is buying one for the first time. It is easy to use and handle and has everything at your finger tips. Voila - no fumbling or having to memorize every dial. Great for everyone. Plus, we wanted a camera with a tape that could be popped into the vcr and viewed right away. This camera provides that option easily, with the standard converter. Only drawback is length of time the battary lasts. GREAT !!!! Camera
I had a crummy digital camera so I looked hard before buying a new one. I bought this camera a few months ago and I LOVE it !!!
It is VERY easy to use (which is great because I hate to read instructions) and it takes the best pictures I have ever taken. The only drawback I have found with this camera is that it does eat batteries BIG TIME. But there is a real simple solution to that. I was able to get 4 AA recharable batteries and the recharger (...). And so I can just charge them back up whenever they run out. Oddly enough they also seem to last a lot longer (before needing recharged) than regular batteries lasted.
I bought a 64 mb card (...) and it will hold over 100 photos without downloading inbetween.
I got a hp photosmart 1218 printer and when taking the pics with this camera and printing them on that printer with hp photo paper my pictures look better than most any professionals that I have seen. I would recommend this camera to anyone.

Great Camera, Great Pics!
I looked around for a digital camera for awhile- i found this one for a great price. The battery problem everyone talks about is no big deal. just get Nimh 1600 batteries and your set. They seem to last 3 times longer than alkalines. The economy setting produces excellent quality shots
I have tried out many digital cameras. This takes amazingly clear shots, even at night! Many, many cameras take grainy quality night pics, this one is crystal clear, even works w/o flash at night to take dark pics- great!

Great for the price
Great start-up digital camera. Performant for the price. The camera itself and the software are REALLY easy to use. Both the physical and digital zoom are very performant. The battery consumption is actually not that bad. I usually use rechargeable batteries that last longer. I bought kodak digital camera batteries on a trip 2 months ago, took over 50 pictures and viewed them and still haven't had to change them.

I was stupid enough to buy two of these cameras.
I purchased two of the RCA digital cameras 11/02, one as a gift for my son. They took very nice photos. Exactly one year after purchase, my battery compartment cover cracked and the camera became useless. The same thing happened to my son's camera at almost the same time. As the covers were attached only by two small screws, I assumed (my first mistake)I would be able to order replacement parts and have two working cameras. I got nothing but the run-around from RCA customer "service," and the generous "offer" of allowing me to buy two replacement cameras for a couple hundred dollars. They refused to allow me just to buy the parts. I will never buy another RCA product and will make sure as many poeple know it as possible.

POOR Engineering_Battery Door
The RCA CDS-6300 camera is a piece of junk and RCA knows it. We all know about the horrible battery life and that is to be somewhat expected. The pictures were good but the major issue is the battery door which fails. It would be simple to engineer a new door for retrofitting. They claim too costly so they ignore it and tell you that the only thing you can do is to purchase a replacement camera. Contacting customer service is a joke either through email or through their 800 number. We need to get together as a group to make them stand behind their product. Outstanding Merchandise
I enter this sight just for gk (general knowledge) of a product that we recently purchased. I was very impressed with information that was available to me at a push of a button. Low level battery time
This camcorder is fantatic in all that it does. Light and surprising clarity of output. The only disadvantage is that you only get a 30 minute battery and 30 minute video cassette. Having to stop and charge your battery every thirty minutes could tend to be a bothersome bore. I have called to get another battery but RCA don't sell any batteries past 30 minutes. Other then that. The cam is easy to use and you can put video characters while you are recording.

For the deal of the century (so far), look no further!
I feel obligated to write a review for this perfect device because everyone should be able to profit from it like I did. I was looking for a camcorder, but I did not want to spend a fortune for one. One of my best friends recently purchased a RCA CC6151 and was raving about it. He's pretty reliable, so I bought one. Why should you? In the order in which I experienced the value of the RCA CC6151, I'll begin with the price. It was definitely in the range I was looking for. The first time I used it, I was astounded by how easy it was to use. I was also delighted by how light it is. It is convenient to carry around because of its size. To be honest, when I sat down to watch the first video I recorded, I wasn't expecting too much. But as soon as I hit play, I realized that the picture was BETTER than any of my friends' higher priced camcorders. Granted, I've only seen the results of about ten other camcorders, but the sound was just as good, if not better, than all of the others as well. To recap: This camcorder is easy to use, conveniently sized, lightweight, and provides as good of a picture and sound as I've experienced. Do yourselves a favor and get the most of your money!

Better than expected
I shopped around looking for the easiest, least expensive, and yet a good quality camcorder and decided to try this one out. I love it! My kids can even use it and it is so light weight. I also like the fact that I can watch what I have taped on my VCR with the included adapter. Great buy.

Best bang for your buck
The RCA CC6151 has got to be the find of the decade. I purchased this unit as an entry level gift for a friend and was so impressed that I purchased one for myself . This camcorder is simple to operate with all functions clearly labeled and easy to familiarize yourself with. There are a few special effects and the picture and sound quality are a little above average and you do not have to be a rocket scintist to read and understand the instruction booklet. Tape dubbing is a breeze and the included VHS adapter makes it simple to play back the tapes in your VCR. The best item I found was the charging base 110 volt adapter, no more stopping in the middle of a play back and finding you have a dead battery, just plug the camera into the charger and continue to play, record, dub or whatever. Awesome!!!!!!
This video camera is the best camera I have used in a price range of under one-thousand dollars. I work with Canon GL1's, GL 2's, and XL 1's and I like this camera the most, when considering price and ease of use. Anyone considering buying a camcorder should look no further!

Do not buy this Camera!!
We received this camera as a Christmas present last year, and we loved it at first. Loads of features and easy to use. However, the camera died after 6 hours of use. We took the camera into an authorized repair shop, and it has been there for the past 4 months!!! The RCA Customer service department is HORRIBLE!!...So now we have a camera sitting in a repair shop, and a manufacturer that won't return our calls or stand behind their product.

Joy to my world!
I just got this camera. I am a novice at digital video, so I am reading Rubin's "little digital video book", and as per his tutilage, I made my first video of my bedroom using this gem of a camera. The 3.5 inch LCD screen was large, looked like a little TV set, and doing the shooting was a pleasure. When I played it back, low and behold, the shakies had disappeared -- the built in digital image stabilization. What fun! So now to try to make a real video out of that. So I bought a firewire card, plugged it into my PIII (850mhz) pc with 390 RAM, and installed adobe premiere. Would it work with the RCA? Well, setting the software to "generic" camera, it worked!!! I could control the camera from the software and capture the clips. Now for the editing. I was able to make a little video along with a disolve transition between clips. Eureka!!! double fun.

This camera is lovely. I debated whether or not to get a Canon or a Sony, but the Amazon price on this was hmmmmmmm most compelling compared to the prices on similarly equiped cameras of these other mainstream brands. I'm not sure it will be available again on Amazon because it was a closeout, but if it does, it's recommended.

Audio Warning
A short comment -- I have no disagreement with the other reviewers. People should consider that this camera does not have audio input jacks, a fact that may be a problem for some applications. I own one and am hoping that someone will come up with a way to hook in through the zoom mic jack, but until then there are no audio input jacks.

RCA CC9390 Digital Camcorder - Awesome for Price and Pixels
I agree 100% with the other reviewers regarding this camcorder. I do have a few additional things to cover. About the still pics - It is only a 1.3 mega pixel camera and therefore, you should not expect high resolution pictures. However, it is great to snap a couple of pictures while you're out shooting excellent digital video. In my opinion, it takes great still pics for web posting, email, and possibly 3x5 prints. Anything larger in print would be pushing it. Use a good photo editing software and a decent photo printer and you should be fine with the smaller prints. I wouldn't recommend buying this if you are expecting outstanding digital photos. Buy a digital camera for that purpose. Keep in mind that in order to take excellent digital video you do not need a 5 or 6 mega pixel camorder since the video image is constantly moving. On the other hand, you need the higher pixel count for excellent stills.

RCA brands a lot of it's products that are actually made by nother companies. Most of their camcorders are manufactured by JVC or Sharp. The battery that fits this camcorder has a Sharp model number on another web site. This particular model is exclusive to RCA though. In all of my research I was not able to find another one that looks identical or has the detachable LCD. Some other less expensive models from RCA look identical to JVC. Check out there products on their web sites. I've owned and tried out numerous camcorders over the last 10 years including Sony, Canon, JVC and RCA. The best camcorder that I ever owned was an old RCA (JVC clone) in a VHS format....he quality was not the same. So I returned it and bought a JVC. That one was better but still not as good as the old RCA. After a couple of years Sony came out with it's new line that included a photo button on it's Hi 8 models. I was taken by the hype and bought one. IT was not digital and only recorded shaky stills onto the tape. I kept that one mostly for the looks if nothing else. The video on the Sony was not all great but was good enough to get me by. The JVC and RCA were far better. A few months ago I tried another RCA digital camcorder (another JVC clone) that recorded good video. Better than the Sony but still not as good as my old RCA and JVC models. I didn't keep it because I decided that I wanted something with a higher resolution. After more research I thought I would give the CC9390 a try. That was the one. The increased pixels and CCD size really made the difference. Now I have a camcorder that takes better video than my old VHS RCA and I can upload the video to my computer for editing and make really nice home movies that rival a professionally made movie. now that's cool!
