I can mention the obvious ones: 1. An I-Zone Camera (in the color of your choice) 2. Some I-Zone pictures (plain or sticky, again your choice) that you want to scan 3. A working computer with Win9x/NT/2000/ME, CD/DVD drive and the usual range of ports 4. This Webster Scanner, which comes with serial cable, CD (with lots of good image-related software) and 4 AAA batteries That's it. What else do you need??? Product Review: The scanner is pretty easy to use. Just hold the scanner over the picture, press the button, and voila! The picture is scanned and an image of it is stored (up to 20 images) in the scanner to be exported to your computer or to be uploaded to the internet via included serial cable at a later time. The images produced are small -- about 250x350 pixels. The quality of the images aren't of the best commercial quality, but they're good enough for their intended use -- to be able to make copies of your i-zone pictures to share with everybody else. You can also scan small areas of other things such as text, postage stamps (*shrug* Why not?), other photos, magazines, etc. Nothing to stop you from doing this after all. The CD comes with software and drivers you need to import pictures from your Webster scanner, plus some fun quality extras to dress them up. The scanner itself is lightweight, but a bit fragile. It comes with a handy carrying strap, but I wouldn't exactly swing it around carelessly. The opening to the battery compartment can easily pop out and the batteries don't quite fit in snugly. This scanner definitely needs either a protective carrying case and/or improved outer casing. (How about it Polaroid?) Overall, the Webster scanner is just a fun addition to the I-Zone line of products. While you won't get the best image quality, you no longer have to fight over who gets to keep the picture!
The great thing about the Webster is that you can throw it in your backpack and carry it with you (it's powered by batteries). The other great thing is the price, for under ten bucks you can't beat it.
THIS REALLY IS A NEAT DEVICE TO USE WITH YOUR IZONE CAMERA. THE PROGRAM IS EASY TO INSTALL ON YOUR COMPUTER AND THEN YOU PLUG THE SCANNER IN. IT IS LIGHTWEIGHT AND SMALL SO YOU CAN TAKE THE SCANNER ANYWHERE WITH YOU AND YOUR IZONE. YOU MUST USE BATTERIES AND BE SURE TO BRING SPARE SINCE IT [takes] THE LIFE OUT OF THEM. BUT DON'T CHANGE THE BATTERIES WHILE YOU HAVE PHOTOS SAVED ON IT OR THEY WILL BE LOST. IT HOLDS 20 PHOTOS SO YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THEM ONTO YOUR COMPUTER TO PUT MORE. I FOUND THE PROGRAM VERY EASY TO USE AND FUN. YOU CAN DOCREATIVE THINGS TO THE PHOTOS ONCE THEY ARE ON THE COMPUTER AND INTO THE PROGRAM.

Minuses 1 Slow to download to computer. (You can start it loading and leave it alone, though.) I have a very fast computer and could take 30 seconds to dowload a picture from camera. 2 Uses batteries up quickly. You can use up 4 penlites in an hour of heavy use (especially if you use the view-screen on the back - that is what really uses the power up). (Not any different from other digital cameras from what I read.) 3 Very little documentation, not a problem for me, since I wouldn't read anyway, but others may want to read more about it. NOTE: I searched around and other online retailers had lower prices up front, but after you add shipping and taxes (yes taxes on some sites) you end up paying more than on Amazon. So I bought from Amazon! Plus, Amazon delivered quickly of course, and I don't know how the other guys would do as far as customer service. Number of pictures: With the 4 megs built in, you can take 12 XGA superfine, 25 XGA fine, 50 XGA normal - 22 VGA superfine, 45 VGA fine, 90 VGA normal. Extra pictures: It uses CompactFlash Cards. Can buy to add Megs of memory to hold more pics. (approx $ per meg for the CompactFlash cards) Amazon and others also sell these.
Since it didn't hold very many pics, I bought a 64 MB Compact Flash card, and now it holds hundreds, so I don't have to download them often to free up space. Yes, regular downloading is somewhat slow, but there is a slot for a USB cord, it just wasn't included. I have had no problems with the software, or this camera. Yes, it uses batteries quickly (as do all digital cameras) but I opted for easily replaceable AA's instead of rechargable. That's just what works for me, it's easier. All in all, I am very glad I bought this camera and would recommend it to anyone!

Amazon.com Product Description The design feature that sets the Polaroid JoyCam apart from other instant cameras is its film delivery system--or lack of one. Traditional instant cameras relied on film cartridges with built-in batteries to enable the camera to expel each shot; however, this model works without a battery. Instead, users pull a plastic ring on the side of the camera to extract the exposed frame. This manual process enables Polaroid to offer a lighter camera body and compatible instant film cartridges at a more reasonable price. The Polaroid JoyCam takes pictures at a range of 3 feet to infinity. It works with Polaroid 500 instant film and produces pictures that measure 4.4 by 2.5 inches, which is slightly smaller than traditional Polaroid shots. The kit includes one box of Polaroid 500 film, providing you with everything you need to start snapping pictures immediately. Features Reviews (12)

If you take a lot of pictures and developping films aren't a problem to you and quality is essential, just buy a good film camera around $400 or $500, but they sure are bulky. That was the advice people gave me at many, many stores. Anyways, cameras are cheaper in Canada... except the digital ones. ... Read more

I've used my Mio both indoors and outdoors and haven't had any trouble with photos not coming out. That's not to say that I haven't taken bad pictures, but that's no fault of the Mio. Even the bad ones come out in focus and colorful. If you are a first time Mio buyer, I'd suggest stocking up on film. You'll have so much fun with this little guy that you'll use it much more than you think you will. All in all, the Polaroid Mio is an incredible instant camera and well worth owning.
You get such good pictures with it too. Since the camera is so cute, all your friends will be smiling.

As ease of use goes, it doesn't get much better than this. You simply put in the batteries, install the SmartMedia card, turn it on, and start clicking away. In order to download the pictures you've taken the software must be installed to your computer. In response to the one reviewer who complained about the software not being compatible with certain editions of Windows, you need merely to go to Polaroids's website and download the patch for Windows 2000 or in my case, Windows XP. It took only a few minutes to download and I was soon up and running. This camera is fairly intuitive if you have at least a working knowledge of digital cameras. I found myself only having to review the user's manual once, and it is fairly straightforward. The green flash indicator in the viewfinder makes it difficult to frame your shot as one previous reviewer noted, and aside from the limited resolution this is about the only other negative thing I can say about the camera. Although it interfaces with the computer via serial cable as opposed to the much faster USB, I haven't found this to be a major problem. I downloaded 14 pictures to my PC in only about 2-3 minutes just the night before writing this review. Picture quality is fair in the high resolution mode, good in super high resolution mode. I don't recommend using either the medium or low resolution settings. Lastly, regarding battery life complaints I haven't found the PDC 640 to be any worse than any other digital camera. The kit includes an AC adapter which I highly recommend be used for downloads, which accounts for considerably more battery drain than actual picture taking. The resolution mode you use will also make a difference (higher resolution = more battery use). If you're looking for an easy to use digital camera the PDC 640 is a very good choice. If you want the highest quality that digital photography has to offer, look elsewhere...but you'll have a slightly more complicated camera.
The PDC640 takes decent pictures "for the web," as others have said. If that, and simple needs, are all you want, great. Do yourself a favor, though, and pick up a USB media card reader. The software and serial cable are not supported under WinXP, or on a Mac - but the images are stored on the card as .jpg files, readable anywhere. The USB reader will be *many* times faster than the serial cable, as well, and no special software is needed. If you print the pictures (full page) you'll notice some problems - but if you're to the point of printing pictures, you'll want a higher resoution camera anyway. It also takes a LONG time to charge, and several seconds between shots to recharge. Battery life really depends on what batteries you buy - cheap ones, it'll eat like a kid with candy. Buy decent batteries (or rechargables) and they'll last a long, long time. When the batteries are ready to go, though (1/4 left in the indicator) the pictures get awfully dark - you can see them get darker and darker. The viewscreen will, of course, eat them faster. If you need high resolution, zoom, etc. this isn't the camera for you. For quick family pics, though, it's fine.

Amazon.com Product Description With autofocusing and a fixed lens, the camera is always ready to go--picture-taking simply requires you to point and shoot. This means the camera can be used by nearly anyone, of any age. The four top buttons function for power, erase, self-timer, and shutter. The 15-second timer gives you plenty of time to jump in with your friends in front of the camera. The tiny LCD screen only displays two alphanumerical characters. The default setting for the display shows the total pictures taken, but can also inform you when memory is full and the battery is low. A beep sounds when you take a picture or erase. Two LED lights beside the optical viewfinder indicate low-battery status and when the camera is on. If not in use, the camera automatically shuts off after 60 seconds to conserve battery life. On the bottom of the camera are a battery compartment for four AAA batteries (included), and a screw mount for tripod use. The included dual-cable has the option of either USB or serial connection. This is a welcome feature for anyone with older, non-USB equipped computers, while still offering easy USB connectivity. The camera's fairly compact size and wrist strap make it easy for carrying anywhere. The plastic housing feels solid in-hand, but lacks any substantial grip or ergonomic design. The bundled software, PhotoMax, interfaces with the camera for easy transfer of photos and more. You can crop, resize, enhance the image, and even add crazy special effects. The software catalogs your images in custom folders with thumbnails for easy photo perusing and slideshow. The file-renaming tool keeps the images identifiable with date imprinting. Through the software, you can even visit Polaroid's Web site to access helpful resources on digital photo-taking and open a free account to store and distribute photos online. The software is compatible with Windows 95, 98, Me, and 2000. Features Reviews (8)
The more your budget is limited, the more research you should do to get the most for your money. Look for something w/ a flash and more pixels. There are many photo review sites to supplement the info here. And pay more attention to the reviews of people who've had the equipment longer - it's easy to have contagious enthusiasm for a brand new toy.

It comes with a cable to hook it directly to a TV, which is an excellent bonus when you're visiting grandma. It's also simple to use -- my eight- and ten-year-olds both took very good photos on their first try. I would strongly recommend this as a digital camera for beginners, or for those who want a simple camera for quick snapshots, small prints (up to 5x7) or emailing. ... Read more

That's why I love it. While it isn't accurate, this film's color reproduction says "Polaroid" all over it. That really adds a certain dimension to your photos. Especially if you are photographing more "serious" subjects (i.e., not just family/friends), the polaroid has a way of lightening it up and making your photography look more nonchalant. It also "ages" your film for you, giving the photographs an old, faded feel right from the start. If you've got an old polaroid camera lying around the house, take it out, by a pack of this stuff, and experiment. It's a lot of fun.

However, As many other people have stated, it isn't really worth the extra money for the "sticky" aspect of this film. Save some money and use it to buy more of the regular i-Zone film.
Note that you'll need scissors or a pocket knife to cut off the sides of the film - tearing it by hand is not that easy.
The film was great. The only thing I would like is if it were easier to cut the picture from the excess paper. It was a pain to have to cut each picture. It would have been nice if it were perferated or something to not have to use scissors.
