This camera is brilliant for whatever mode you want to take your pictures in, it has all sorts of functions for indoor, outdoor, cloudy, different lighting. There are several different kinds of flash, which is handy, but when you set the camera not to have a flash, the picture will be VERY blurry, even if you rest the camera on a flat surface. The play mode is brilliant, allowing you to scroll through your images or select one from a grid with all displayed in. You can zoom in and out of a picture you have just taken too. I havnt used a memory card with it yet but ive found the capacity to be sufficient. If this is your first camera, i would suggest buying rechargable batteries as the camera eats though them. Buying cheap batteries in bulk wont help, the cheapest ones will take about a picture each before the camera turns off. In all, a fantastic camera, with the only slight disadvantages of battery consumpion, and blury pictures WHEN theres no flash. ... Read more

what stinks about this camera, is there is no flash....and you can't buy a memory card to store more pictures, so it's not good for a vacation. the quality wasn't the best, kinda grainy....

Amazon.com Product Description This i-zone isn't just the old version with colorful faceplates, however. Polaroid has also redesigned the entire body with a sleeker, more aerodynamic shape and feel; the smaller body fits into a pocket or bag easier than ever. But the new look does not affect the easy-to-use features of the original i-zone camera. It is still focus-free, with a built-in flash and simple film loading. The three settings, indoors (with flash), outdoor/sunny, and outdoor/cloudy allow you to pick the best mode for your scene or subject, adding to your creative control. Capture lots of fun moments with instant pictures the size of a postage stamp, using either sticky or nonsticky film, then let your creativity go wild. Decorate notebooks, folders, invitations, anything you can think of! The more unique, the better. These mini-pictures are ideal for sharing and trading with your friends. The possibilities are endless, so be sure to stock up on plenty of extra film. Features Reviews (12)

Amazon.com Review Loading the camera is as easy as dropping the film cartridge into the back of the camera and closing it back up. The trickiest part is remembering to pull the film tab out in one fluid motion, without stopping--exactly like most other Polaroids. When you expose a shot and pull out the film, you get something that looks like a Band-Aid, with an image in the middle and extra paper on both ends. Just clip the extra paper off with a pair of scissors and you have your final product. Be careful not to cut into the actual photo, as you don't want to give the caustic paste inside a chance to seep out and get on your fingers. There are three exposure settings on the i-zone--indoors (with flash), outdoor/sunny, and outdoor/cloudy. Overall, the camera is probably best for subjects within two to eight feet, although we took pictures of downtown buildings that turned out pretty well. The outdoor/sunny setting requires bright sun directly on the subject for a good exposure. Even if it isn't cloudy, try using the outdoor/cloudy setting if the subject is in shadow or if it is early or late in the day when the sunlight isn't at full strength. The flash seems to work best from about four to five feet away. The best part is figuring out what to do with the mini photos once you've created them. The options seem to be limitless, from decorating cell phones to using them as key chains, putting them in mini frames, or making refrigerator magnets. These cameras are affordable, simple to use, and a lot of fun. --Walt Opie Features Reviews (1)

Amazon.com Review Each i-zone set comes complete with camera, instant pocket film (six shots), andtwo AA alkaline batteries--everything you need to start making pictures. Amazon.com Product Description Top-quality output is paramount in the design of the Polaroid 4000. It automatically eliminates surface imperfections such as dust and scratches. Furthermore, you'll find an impressive list of features, including split-screen preview, automatic image sizing, and saving-scan settings. Crisp clean colors and good tonality are central to Polaroid's design. Two more notable characteristics include precise image cropping that permits working with smaller sections of an image while still identifying recognizable detail, and an automatic advance of a six-image film strip or four-image mounted slide holder. The PolaColor Insight Pro software included with the product provides a simple interface and a tool for basic and advanced scanning tasks, compatible with both PC and Mac. You can save your images on the PC in TIFF and/or BMP formats, or on the Macintosh in TIFF, PSD, and/or JPEG file formats. The unit is matte black and compact, and comes with a SCSI-2 interface, a cable, a controller board, and AdvanSys's Super SCSI setup utilities. Also included are two carriers for 35mm strips and slides. Features Reviews (1)
The SprintScan is a 36-bit film scanner with an optical resolution of 4,000 by 4,000 ppi and dynamic range of 3.4. By comparison, the top resolution of the Nikon SuperCoolScan (...) is 2,700 by 2,700 ppi, with a dynamic range of 3.2. Matte-black and compact, the SprintScan comes with a SCSI-2 interface, a cable, a controller board, and AdvanSys's Super SCSI setup utilities. Also included are two carriers for 35-mm strips and slides; an optional APS film adapter is available. The unit also ships with a quick-start guide and a single page with instructions for installing under Windows NT. The main documentation is a 74-page PDF file. Though useful for novices, the documentation lacks detailed explanations and scan tips for pros. Setup and installation are relatively simple, so long as you follow the recommended sequence of events. For instance, you must insert the film carrier after (not before) the driver loads, or the computer "loses" the SCSI connection. Although the Mac version can be installed as a Photoshop plug-in, the PC version is not Twain-compliant, so you can't scan directly into any application. Also, no provisions are supplied for creating scripts, saving images in 12-bit color, or preserving customized settings as default values. Scanning with the SprintScan is fast and easy. The PolaColor Insight interface is intuitive and offers an impressive variety of manual and automatic tools. The SprintScan took only 20.4 seconds to scan a 12.8MB slide. But this blazing speed is somewhat tempered by a 49.5-second auto-calibration routine and by the time needed to name and save a file and then open it in an application. Image quality is excellent and holds up even when magnified. Colors are accurate and tonality is very good. Though the Polaroid Sprint Scan 4000 has occasional limitations, its image quality is superb. The scanner leapfrogs over the competition in price, ease of use, and most important, high-resolution scans. ... Read more

Amazon.com Product Description The PDC640 FL's accompanying Creative Kit offers everything cyber shutterbugs need to take pictures and download them to the computer. It includes a 2 MB SmartMedia card, FlashPath reader, batteries, PC cable, TV cable, AC adapter, camera case, wrist strap, camera and software instruction manuals, quick-start card, and an online tutorial. Features Reviews (18)
I got this camera yesterday so this review will be my first impressions. 1. I was a little confused by the description on Amazon as to whether I would get a 2 MB or 8 MB SmartMedia card. I still don't know but the product description is correct in saying that in the highest resolution you can get 12 pictures. Due to the compression used, I'm just not sure what amount of space that means I have. 2. This package (PDC-640 FL Digital Camera Kit) has everything you might need - AC adapter, TV cable, serial cable, batteries, FlashPath reader, case, wrist strap, PhotoMAX software. It would make a great gift for anyone not a photo expert. 3. The FlashPath reader and PhotoMAX software in particular make it very easy to move your pictures from the camera to a PC. The PhotoMAX software is not a full-fledged image editing application but it can add text, rotate, change contrast or brightness or hue, and organize into photo albums. The software seems to be designed for non-experts. 4. The camera is mostly automatic. Just point and shoot. My first few attempts inside came out very dark but it is possible I didn't have the flash set correctly. After some tinkering of the settings, the pictures came out fine. So it does take a little getting used to all the buttons and settings and how you maneuver through the menus. Still, I hardly looked at the quick start card and after a bit I was doing fine. 5. I got this camera partly because I don't really need anything fancy or with super high resolution. I will mainly take shots and send them to my relatives via email. And for email you don't want to send a really big file like you get with the megapixel cameras. This camera's resolution is plenty fine for my purposes. So my first impression is... this is great! Just what I need. Quick and easy to use! And at a good price!
Overall, this camera is easy and fun. But do your homework before buying it. For sending pictures to Mom, this is great. If you want to get into some serious photography, spend more money.
that is the end, but just remember one thing, this is the one camera that you don't want to buy!

That's why I love it. While it isn't accurate, this film's color reproduction says "Polaroid" all over it. That really adds a certain dimension to your photos. Especially if you are photographing more "serious" subjects (i.e., not just family/friends), the polaroid has a way of lightening it up and making your photography look more nonchalant. It also "ages" your film for you, giving the photographs an old, faded feel right from the start. If you've got an old polaroid camera lying around the house, take it out, by a pack of this stuff, and experiment. It's a lot of fun.

I use this film for my Polaroid Colorshot USB Digital Printer. What I see on the screen is what I get on the film. It is the most perfect transfer of digital imaging I have ever seen. Printing digitally on this film has it's advantages. No need to worry about running out of ink. The film is instant. The film is resistant to water because of it's built-in protective coating of plastic. The image reproduces very quickly. Whereas a ink jet printer would take minutes... I also use the film for my Polaroid Spectra 1200si which I love as well. The photo is just as sharp as on regular film. The color is perfectly balanced and the image quality is extremely sharp. This is a great film by the great company Polaroid for either instant traditional of instant digital photography. I would recommend it to anyone on the planet.
Polaroid has not been able to make an integral film that matches the overall quality of their peel-apart materials. The latter have detail and a vivid edge sharpness the integral films will probably never achieve. But the current Platinum film is unquestionably the best of its type. Color rendition is noticeably improved. Platinum film can tolerate direct comparison with the Macbeth color chart without suffering acute embarrasment. The tonal scale has been lengthened without a loss of saturation. (The 150-speed Time-Zero material has a noticeably shorter scale, often producing excessively contrasty prints.) Sharpness is better than any previous integral film (including the 150-speed), and the "bloom" is lower than ever. Nevertheless, Polaroid's integral materials do not match the overall quality of modern color-negative films. The latter have multiple layers and complex chemical interactions among the layers that allow both a wide tonal scale and high saturation. It's unlikely Polaroid films will ever be able to perform these chemical feats, so the gap between conventional and instant-picture quality will continue to widen. On the other hand, Polacolor (both peel-apart and integral) has a quality rarely seen in negative films -- it looks almost three-dimensional. There's depth -- an almost-palpable "roundness" -- you don't get from Kodacolor or Fujicolor. The latter look flat by comparison. A note about processing... Although Polaroid integral films give good results over a wide temperature range, the highest saturation and cleanest colors occur in the high 70s or low 80s. (I discovered this when I threw several developing prints on top of a warm amplifier in a cool room. The pattern of the amplifier's vent holes appeared in the print, with the areas over the holes noticeably more vivid.) A warm Spring or not-too-hot Summer day gives the brightest colors. If you haven't taken Polaroid pictures in a long time, try the Platinum film. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. ... Read more
