Holds charges well
This is a battery for Panasonic digital camcorders. The battery is also a Panasonic brand. This battery charges quickly, and holds a charge well.

Like most batteries, you will notice the battery dies quite quickly if you use the LCD screen. This is kind of a vicious circle: You bought the camcorder because of the nice LCD screen, but you are hesitant to use it because the battery dies so quickly. A happy medium may be to buy a camcorder with a color viewfinder.

I'm sure it's good, but this is not for the GS150 & 250.
First, this is NOT the correct battery for Panasonic GS150 and 250 camcorders. Order a CGA-DU06A, 12A or 21A for those camcorders.

It is unfortunate that Amazon does not give you the part number on this page, otherwise one could find this information out before they order! This #CGA-DU07 battery is designed for the GS50 and GS70 cameras.

Lastly, this is a rather dinky battery. Save your money and buy the next size unit. Available recording time will be very short with this battery.

On the positive side, this battery came from Office Depot and shipping time was phenominal: next day delivery on a standard ground shipment.

soccer pictures are great!!
My son is in soccer and my daughter enjoys taking pictures of him while he plays. This camera is a great camera for action shots, but the delay is kind of slow (says my daughter). My daughter takes great action shots of her 2 little brothers, dog, and 2 little cousins. I don't know why it takes better pictures of my son playing soccer than it does of my nephew spinning around in circles. Overall, this is a great camera, but it doesn't have a flash. Great Battery, But Awfully Big
This battery may be a case of too much of a good thing. Unless you are a very heavy user of your camcorder, 4.5 hours (which is what you will get if you use your LCD screen) is probably more than you will need.

For half the price, I would recommend the CGRD16A/1B, which has three hours of rated usage, or 1.5 with the LCD screen.

If you need this much battery life, be aware that this is a big battery that will stick out of the back of your camcorder quite a bit.
