3-0 out of 5 stars SWEET!!!
This baby has a built in FM tuner/recorder that really comes in handy. My old RCA Jukebox only lasted for a few months. and the sound was horrible. I tried other MP3 solutions but only recently did I find this little Gem. It's battery holds much more power than the lyra and I havnt had any problems so far. The Lyra was cheap, but HUGE!!! (20 GB) I like the Juke Jams small size, it fits almost anywhere, and the user interface is great. I still havn't tested ALL of it's functions out. this'll make a great Holiday gift.

2-0 out of 5 stars Don't Believe the Hype!!!
I went to Frye's Electronics 3 weeks ago to purchase the Creative Labs 40GB Zen Xtra, when I noticed this product. I was impressed by the included FM tuner - complete with 10 presets (it even records FM programs to MP3 files), the voice recorder, and the nice large LCD screen. It was also priced within $10.00 of the Zen Xtra, so I opted for this unknown (unresearched) option.

The sound was great, and I really loved how easy and logical the modified joysick-style selector button works. A week later, and after loading over 19GB of data to its hard drive, the thing simply locked-up and would not reboot. Fry's promptly replaced it for another. The second player's screen began to fade beyond readability after 4 days. That window gave me time to remove most of my data, and return the second Juke Jam to the store.

This time, I traded it for the Zen Xtra. I have had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS with the Creative Labs model. The product rep was there in the store. He told me they recently upgraded the firmware, allowing simple drag-and-drop tranfer of data. It not only performs better, but it also has an AWESOME EAX sound enhancement tool. Honestly, it made my very basic car stereo sound like I was listening to my BOSE home theater!!!

He mentioned they should be releasing a player with an FM-tuner soon, but I wanted my portable music option sooner. The features of these two items may appear to be similiar; in fact, the Polaroid features look better. But, I have to put my money (nearly $300.00) where the quality is. Creative Labs created a portable music experience! I don't mean to sound like some kind of spokesman for CL, but this thing simply ROCKS!!!

Did I mention it's nearly $200.00 cheaper than the IPOD (which by the way, does not play the smaller sized, better quality WMA files). I LOVE the size of the IPOD, but that feature doesn't come close to justifying it's $489.00 price tag. Macintosh has once again, priced themselves out of the market. Sure there are thousands of people that have IPODs, but they could have cornered the entire MP3 portalbe player market. Fortunately, Apple once again let the competition create feature packed players for $100.00's of dollars less.

If you want real quality in a player that plays MP3, WMA's, and features an unmatched sound processor, go with the Zen Xtra. If you've got the money, and don't really need as much space as I do, get the IPOD. Otherwise, wait for more of the research and design to shake-out in this industry. There are sure to be some very interesting innovations coming to this Christmas!!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A good scanner for the price
I mean the price I payed for mine, $10, where is $75 coming from? Do not buy it for that price!!! Don't get me wrong, I love my little scanner, I do not own the I-zone camera, I had lots of pictures that you could barely make out what was in them, now I scan them and Voila, LOL you can see everthing, I have my own website and every picture on there is from the webster. I would more likely recommend this scanner as a gift for a child, but for someone who does not have a scanner the webster is great too. NOT FOR $75 THOUGH, BUY A REAL SCANNER FOR THAT PRICE.

5-0 out of 5 stars Offsetting Reviews
Okay, I would have originally given this product a 3-star rating, but felt I had to give it the full 5 stars to offset some of the ... reviews from the customers.... Another thing, some other customer from Canada wrote that to use this product, you would need 12 things for this scanner to work -- but doesn't even mention what these 12 things are.

I can mention the obvious ones:

1. An I-Zone Camera (in the color of your choice)

2. Some I-Zone pictures (plain or sticky, again your choice) that you want to scan

3. A working computer with Win9x/NT/2000/ME, CD/DVD drive and the usual range of ports

4. This Webster Scanner, which comes with serial cable, CD (with lots of good image-related software) and 4 AAA batteries

That's it. What else do you need???

Product Review:

The scanner is pretty easy to use. Just hold the scanner over the picture, press the button, and voila! The picture is scanned and an image of it is stored (up to 20 images) in the scanner to be exported to your computer or to be uploaded to the internet via included serial cable at a later time.

The images produced are small -- about 250x350 pixels. The quality of the images aren't of the best commercial quality, but they're good enough for their intended use -- to be able to make copies of your i-zone pictures to share with everybody else. You can also scan small areas of other things such as text, postage stamps (*shrug* Why not?), other photos, magazines, etc. Nothing to stop you from doing this after all.

The CD comes with software and drivers you need to import pictures from your Webster scanner, plus some fun quality extras to dress them up.

The scanner itself is lightweight, but a bit fragile. It comes with a handy carrying strap, but I wouldn't exactly swing it around carelessly. The opening to the battery compartment can easily pop out and the batteries don't quite fit in snugly. This scanner definitely needs either a protective carrying case and/or improved outer casing. (How about it Polaroid?)

Overall, the Webster scanner is just a fun addition to the I-Zone line of products. While you won't get the best image quality, you no longer have to fight over who gets to keep the picture!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great!
This is an awesome little hand held scanner. Of course it is perfect for the i-Zone photographs, but you can also use it to scan other small items (i use it a lot for small drawings).

The great thing about the Webster is that you can throw it in your backpack and carry it with you (it's powered by batteries).

The other great thing is the price, for under ten bucks you can't beat it.

4-0 out of 5 stars GREAT AND FUN WHILE IT WORKS
I REALLY DID LOVE MY WEBSTER WHILE IT WORKED. IT WAS A GREAT WAY FOR ME TO GET A COPY OF PHOTOS THAT I WOULD TAKE AND GIVE AWAY. IT WAS SO QUICK AND EASY. I HAVEN'T HAD IT VERY LONG BUT NOW I GUESS A LIGHT BURNT OUT. HALF OF THE PHOTOS I SCANNED WERE FINE BUT THE LAST HALF CAME OUT EXTREMELY DARK. MORE THAN USUAL. I DON'T KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO CHANGE THE LIGHTS BUT IT DOESN'T LOOK EASY.

THIS REALLY IS A NEAT DEVICE TO USE WITH YOUR IZONE CAMERA. THE PROGRAM IS EASY TO INSTALL ON YOUR COMPUTER AND THEN YOU PLUG THE SCANNER IN. IT IS LIGHTWEIGHT AND SMALL SO YOU CAN TAKE THE SCANNER ANYWHERE WITH YOU AND YOUR IZONE. YOU MUST USE BATTERIES AND BE SURE TO BRING SPARE SINCE IT [takes] THE LIFE OUT OF THEM. BUT DON'T CHANGE THE BATTERIES WHILE YOU HAVE PHOTOS SAVED ON IT OR THEY WILL BE LOST. IT HOLDS 20 PHOTOS SO YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THEM ONTO YOUR COMPUTER TO PUT MORE. I FOUND THE PROGRAM VERY EASY TO USE AND FUN. YOU CAN DOCREATIVE THINGS TO THE PHOTOS ONCE THEY ARE ON THE COMPUTER AND INTO THE PROGRAM.

1-0 out of 5 stars horrible
this is sooooooooooooooo stuipid... I`m tellinf you right now if you get it you`ll regret it. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth it?
Yes and no. I'm happy that I got it, because it is really cute, but if you're thinking that it will have little pockets for the pictures, it doesn't. Just a regular address book with places to stick the pictures next to each address. You could do the same thing with a mini notebook, but it probably wouldn't turn out as cute. Also, if you don't have sticky film, use double sided tape on the back of your picture, it will work just as well. ... Read more

The camera is awesome, but this just doesn't cut it for me! It needs to be more colorful! Try the other colors though!

4-0 out of 5 stars really nice!
this faceplate is real nice and if you look for ones to match outfits, girls, i think it would look good with grayish colors. It's a nice color for your i-zone camera, a good color to add to your collection. ... Read more
