Beware of expiration dates!!
I'm glad I read the previous review of the HP 23 color cartridge. I had just put in a new color cartridge in my trusty HP OfficeJet T45 only to find that it would no longer print yellow. I tried a spare HP 23 color cartridge - same result. Color photos came out maroon or blue. Since I was getting the exact same result from two never-used color cartridges, I concluded that I was going to be shopping for a new color printer.

Then I read the review about checking the expiration date on the back of the cartridge box. I had bought several HP 23 color cartridges some years back and never used them. When I checked their expiration dates, the ones that I hadn't used were over two years passed their dates. I had unfortunately tossed out the boxes for the first two cartridges, so I'm assuming that they were also long past their due dates. Fortunately I had one color cartridge that was still good, so I installed it and tried it. Voila! It printed fine.

This will teach me to avoid stocking up on color cartridges when they're on sale on the assumption that they'll last forever. At about $35 a pop, I was out over $100 in color cartridges. Too bad HP can't find some way of prolonging their yellow pigments. I hated to throw out brand-new cartridges, but better that than buying a new printer.

High Quality InkJet Cartridge
My trusty HP DeskJet 712C has chugged along for three years using HP cartridges. When I switched to a competing brand for the Black cartridge, I saw a sudden drop in quality -- especially in the first few days of use.

I appreciate the fact that, unlike some manufacturers, HP separates the Black from the Color cartridge. Rarely, if ever, do they both run out at the same time.

Be sure to note the expiration date on the back. One batch that I purchased at a suspiciously good price had expired over a year before and just wouldn't print at all.

What can I say...
Reviewing a printer cartridge isn't rocket science. I've purchased many of these particular cartridge. I've never had a problem with them.

Quality output, but wish there were more ink in there!
In my HP 880c printer, this cartridge generates beautiful results. On cheap copier paper, even photos print crisply and richly. However, I can't believe how often I have to replace this cartridge. I mostly print text documents with incidental color -- hyperlinks and occasional graphics -- and I replace the color cartridge about as often as I replace the black cartridge.

Great Quality, Medium Life
This cartridge prints extremely sharp color pictures, especially when using photo quality paper. I've had some pictures I scanned in with my HP 6200 and then printed on an HP 895 CSE that people couldn't believe were photographic enlargements!

The only issue is that the cartridge doesn't last long printing pictures! ... Read more

Don't even think of clicking "used" button! Buy only "NEW"
Don't even think of clicking the "used" button; you'll be sorry. When it comes to so-called "remanufactured" cartridges especially for HP inkjet printers, don't take the chance. The "used" cartridge doesn't last as long, there's a possibility that the cartridge may explode, rendering your printer useless, and probably you'll void the warrenty on the printer. Don't be deceived, buy only "new" for HP printers (especially because the head is in the print cartridge.) Also a note to the Amazon people: Don't show a picture of a twin pack for the "used" product, because that's not what your getting in the mail if you buy it.

the picture shown is not what you get
You really shouldn't show the picture of the genuine HP cartridges when the seller sends you a knock off that doesn't work as well. This is false advertising! You can't show a picture of something and sell something else! And there was nothing said about getting a knock-off product. If you're looking for ink for ur inkjet, don't get it here.. it may be cheap, but it's not the real thing, and it doesn't work well. every few times i print i get these ugly streaks and i have to print over again.

black print
This product is a long lasting cartridge that is very good quality. I use a HP Photosmart 1000 printer.

Good Quality, But Why So Expensive?

On the plus side, HP has improved the design of the cartridges so they do not gum up as bad as they once did. Years ago, I had a HP 660CSE printer, and the cartridges were notorious for gumming up. My current 932C works great with these cartridges.
In a nutshell, this is a good quality cartridge but still not a good value for the money. Even though you can save a few bucks by buying the twin pack I am tempted to try cartridges from aftermarket manufacturers, or even refill kits.

Hewlett Packard is just the best for the price...
I have been using an HP printer for many, many years. I am on my second one which is an 895Cse and this is the print cartridge it uses. With this printer and ink I really have never had any problems.

The only problem is running out of ink! So, I like this twin pack so each time I run out, at least I have one more cartridge and can reorder in time. You can't have too many black ink cartridges around, that is for sure!

With this ink, I can print pages without worrying about smearing. It gives great quality and it pairs up well with the HPC823D which you need for color printing.

If HP keeps turning out these quality products, I will keep buying them. HP really makes my life a breeze! ... Read more

Save some money and buy both!
I *hate* buying print cartridges. Why are they so darn expensive? Boy was I glad when I bought my HP 895CSE printer - the cartridges are still around $30each but they last FOREVER! I print probably 20 color pages per day and probably 50 b/w and the cartridges still last me several months. I've been quite impressed with their life-span. This bundle is just an incentive to get both for a lower price. InkJet Cartridge
Great product at a great price. Super fast shipment - This is a great service.

The cartridges have warranty :o)...
I'm fixing to order mine but want to tell you. These ink cartridges have like a 60 or 90 day warranty on them. I had one that started acting up close to the deadline (don't remember if it was 60 or 90 days, sorry) so called HP. They sent me a prepaid mailer to send them back the bad cartridge and sent me a new working cartridge pretty quickly too. Just wanted to add this since it sounds like noone who wrote reviews here went this route.

Clogged jets recurrent problem
I've had a 660 printer a couple of years and gone through 6 color cartridges. Four of them had a couple of the jets clog after 1 or two weeks. Running the head cleaner just wastes ink (a lot) without opening the clogged jets. Then you have the choice of throwing away a $30 cartridge you've hardly used or printing with gaps. I will not buy another HP printer. I've wasted more on cartridges then the printer cost.

Ink dried up after weeks of no use
I very seldom print in color but since my OfficeJet comes with it, I used it occassionally only to discover that after months of no use, the cartridges (both black and tricolor) have dried up. I don't know if I have misread the instructions anywhere re: ink cartridge maintenance, but it seems like such a big waste to have to replace your ink cartridges even though you hardly use them! These cartridges are not cheap (and you know that's where HP makes the money on selling DeskJets so cheap). Because of my low usage of color printing, I have not replaced them and don't intend to. Overall, was very disappointed and in fact, felt a little bit cheated.

Good quality, but you can run out very quickly
When you get these cartridges right out of the box they work great, but after you start to print out a lot of pictures you really notice the quality deteriorate. It really seems to run out of one color much quicker than the others. Personally its usually red. It has caught me with my pants down a couple times, going to print out a project the night before its due, only to run out of red or blue ink. I would definetly suggest to always have an extra one around just in case. ... Read more

Excellent but pricey!
This is a very good cartdrige for a very good printer. The one problem is the cost of the consumables. The ink cartridges are expensive compared witht the price of the printer. I bought the 610C years ago and it still works very well. If the price of the cartridge was lower I would give 5 stars.

HP No. 20 Blk. Inkjet Cartridge: TOO EXPENSIVE!
The HP No. 20 Black Inkjet Cartridge performs very well. My only complaint is that it is simply TOO expensive, especially when compared to other inkjet cartridges. I print a lot and have to replace my cartridges often, so I feel the brunt of the expense every time I need to purchase a new one. I would love and appreciate seeing the price drop drastically in the near future. If there is a reason why this particular inkjet cartridge is so expensive that I could understand, it would help to ease the pressure I feel because it's the only inkjet I'm able to use with the printer of my choice which prints on both sides...A feature I need to save on paper usage and space. Of course, this is just my opinion. What I print out pertains to my favorite hobby and I'm not printing out anything to sell for a profit. Probably, that's why I resent the cost so.

***HP Quailty For your Printer*** Great Choice
I own a cheap deskjet printer model 656c. I used my first black ink cartridge up in about 5 months. Lucky for me the print quailty is better than other low priced printers I've had in the past.

Not only that, but it probably printed off about 270-280 pages of text for only [$]. Most other ink cartriges are cheaper, but you have to consider that the quality is poor and not as many pages are produced with just one cartridge.

You don't even have to pay [$]! Just buy it used for [$-$] and save yourself a couple of bucks. Either way you win with HP's quality black cartridge.

Expensive and hard to find
The suspicious side of me wants to believe that HP did a promo with their Deskjet 612C - i.e. they sold the printer cheap or with big rebates as part of a system deal and decided to make up for their loss leader by limiting production and raising the price on the cartridge replacements. I would be surprised if there is any difference between the 612C black replacement cartridge C6614 and the much more common cartridge for the 660C other than a little plastic tab on the cartridge case. ... Inkusa HP 15 inkjet cartridges
I purchased a refurbrished HP 15 inkjet cartridge twin pack from Inkusa. The first cartridge was rejected because it was damaged. The other cartridge worked for a day and a half before the ink nozzle clogged and wouldn't print. Such a deal!
Didn't try the HP 78 yet but perhaps picking up a replacement at ****** would be a good backup idea.

Printer cartridge
I was amazed by the low price of the C6615DN cartridge, this company has here the competitive edge. It was shipped just after the weekend and reached me in 3 days. Cool! I did not like the relatively high shipping costs (USD 4.99), as it was shipped for USD 1.98. Are carton boxes that expensive in Florida?

Cartridge wrecked my printer
My first two black 15 cartridges worked pretty well in my HP Deskjet 3820 then the third one started to indicate low fluid level and stopped printing. I replaced it with a new cartridges but it refused to work at all. While repeatingly trying to reinstall it as tech support suggested, the etch tore. When examing the inside of the printer, I found that black ink had splattered around inside the mechanism area indicating a leakage. The next new cartridge would not work either. $$ wasted. Tech support said to have the printer repaired -- ya sure (after only one year of moderate home use and the warantee had ran out). Printer repair would cost me more a new one.

Good Quality Ink!!
I own a Hp Deskjet 920c color printer. I have never had a problem with any purchase of the Hp Ink. I have purchased from retailers ... as well as Amazon. My last 4 purchases for this product has been from Amazon with absolutely no problems. The black is black the colored Ink is excellent as well. I run a home based buisness and creating newsletters is one of the tasks I perform almost daily. I also print out Pictures on Photo paper with awesome results. My review is 5 stars for the ink 5 stars for the printer!

HP 10 ink Cartridge system
This would be good if you were using up all the ink in each cartridge at least every 9 months or so. The problem HP built into this system is that the cartridges expire (and may not have much time on them when you buy them--and there is no marking on the box or unit to tell you the expiration date). If even one of the colors has expired the printer gives an error message and WILL NOT PERMIT YOU TO PRINT. So the net result is YOU HAVE TO THROW AWAY HALF FULL CARTRIDGES!!! This eliminates any potential savings. The ink is still good and they could have simply given a warning and let the customer the right to decide if they wanted to change ink before it was used up.
DON'T BE FOOLED INTO THINKING THAT THIS PRINTER WILL SAVE YOU COSTS ON INK.

Great printer, great supplies
This printer family is wonderful if you do a lot of printing. The printers are pretty costly, but because you can replace each color of ink separately, and replace the printing jet heads for each color separately also, you can save a lot on replacement supplies. These ink cartridges hold a *lot* of ink.

By comparison, with a lot of cheap printers, if the yellow runs out, or the holes in the magenta printing jet plug, you need a whole new cyan-yellow-magenta ink-and-jet cartridge -- and the cartridges usually hold very little ink.

This type of ink has excellent darkness range, from very faint gray to very high-contrast black. The color cartridges have great color range. Together, the overall color range is almost as good as a specialty "photo" printer, but the ink doesn't cost nearly as much. While it really looks great on fancy paper, it works well even on cheap paper...

Best for your printer, Worst for your pocketbook
This is a great printer and the ink cartridge system is tops - but this item is available elsewhere for much less. Amazon should do better than this.

A "Smart" Inkjet Cartridge with Great Print Quality
I have had inkjet printers and laser printers and other kinds too. But this is the first time I have had a printer that sports an ink cartridge that actually warns me in advance when it is getting low in ink! The software connected with the printer and ink cartridge will give you a message on your screen that your ink level is low, and even shows you a graphic picture of approximately how low it is, and tells you what will happen when the ink totally runs out (that is, it will stop printing altogether -- unlike other printers that continue to spit out blank pages). The print quality is great, and the cartridge seems to last a good long time. It is easy to replace and install. Who could ask for more? ... Read more
