    Product Description

The FinePix F10, a 6.3 MegaPixel Super CCD HR digital camera with Fujifilm's Real Photo Technology for improved picture taking in low light situations, more efficient power consumption and faster overall operation.Real Photo Technology, the latest imaging innovation from Fujifilm, is a synergy of three key devices: a sharp Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens, Fujifilm's 5th generation Super CCD sensor and the newly developed RP Processor, which possesses all of the advance signal-processing know-how of the professional FinePix S3 Pro digital SLR camera. With Real Photo Technology users of the FinePix F10 can capture beautiful digital images with very little noise at ISO settings all the way up to 1600 at full resolution. This allows the photographer to shoot without a flash in the "Natural Light" scene position, preserving mood and reducing red-eye. Real Photo Technology also allows for higher shutter speeds that minimize blurriness in photos at even the highest ISO settings. This combination of devices in the FinePix F10, particularly the sensor and processor, has also led to advances in power consumption and operating speed. According to research conducted for Fujifilm U.S.A., consumers are searching for digital cameras that run more efficiently, giving them more pictures per battery charge. The FinePix F10 answers these requests, taking 500 pictures per single, full charge of its lithium ion battery. In addition, the FinePix F10 is fast - very fas ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A fantastic camera
I love the simplicity of the F10. No superflous buttons on the back. I'm more of a point-and-shooter, but for more involved photographers, the camera gives you tons of options, which you access through several menus. The huge screen is great. I don't even miss having a viewfinder. And even if the camera had one,I'd never use it. I suspect most people take digital photos using their screens, anyway.

I love taking home movies with the camera. It gives you eight minutes of video on a 512mb card. (The camera comes with a 16mb card). I have about 8 video clips stored and still have room to take about 20 photos in e-mail quality mode. I'd recommend you buy a 1gb memory card if you plan to take a lot of video. Or, to free up card space, just save your movies to your computer to burn to a DVD later!

The best part is shutter lag is practically zilch. No holding smiles for 10 seconds. The camera's ready to go as soon as you turn it on.

Connecting camera to computer via USB requires several cords, (inluded), so it's a bit messy in that regard.

Photo quality looks great to me. The body is small but a bit heavy, as heavy as a light paperweight.

The included software is very basic and doesn't save photos automatically like it should, so I have to save photos manually. Apparently this is a common problem with the software, but I'm fine with manually copying so I'm not going to find out how to fix this.

The battery did last a long time. I must have taken 200 photos, erased, viewed them, replayed videos on it, etc. before it ran low. The battery really started to die when I took about 15 shots in complete darkness. (They came out nice and clear, by the way). I think the heavy flash usage drained the battery faster.

In all, I'm very happy with this camera. The $350 I paid was well worth it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product
This is a great camera. Besides being compact and slim, the large LCD display is a pleasure. This is also the fastest camera I've ever owned. I can't believe how fast it starts up and is ready to shoot!
I've already printed photos and am extremely pleased with the outome.
I strongly recommend the F10 for all level of users.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fujifilm F10 is outstanding!
The speed of the F10 is amazing.Start up is super fast and I don't miss shots like I used to because the shutter speed is so fast.Fuji Real Photo Technology is great! ... Read more

    Amazon.com Product Description

Highlighted by an advanced new, fourth-generation Super CCD SR sensor, the FujiFilm FinePix S3 Pro digital SLR takes digital photography dramatically closer to film quality. The FinePix S3 Pro offers a full feature set that's perfect for professional photographers, including a 6.17-megapixel effective resolution, compatibility with Nikon F-mount lenses as well as a majority of Nikkor AF lenses. Improvements over the FinePix S2 include larger, more ergonomically placed buttons, power from 4 rechargeable NiMH batteries, and USB 2.0 connectivity (as well as FireWire). This model does not include a lens.

    Optics and Resolution
The FinePix S3 Pro's Super CCD SR sensor (23 x 15.5mm) uses 6.17 million S-pixels and 6.17 million R-pixels (for 12.3 million effective photodiodes) to deliver 12 million recorded pixels and noticeable image improvements to that of single-pixel cameras. The SR sensor's unique double photodiode design broadens tonal capability, from bright highlights to deep shadows. It produces the following resolution modes: 4256 x 2848, 3024 x 2016, 2304 x 1536, and 1440 x 960.

It has a Nikon F mount and accepts a full range of Nikkor F-series lenses--including AF-D, AF-G and AF-S type professional optics.

    Fourth-Generation Super CCD SR
FujiFilm's Super CCD SR provides a truer representation of the actual subject being photographed, revealing highlight detail and offering a four-fold increase in dynamic range. By using an innovative layout of paired photodiodes--in a "honeycomb" pattern--the technology enables confident shooting in both bright and cloudy conditions. The Super CCD improves overall signal-to-noise ratio and offers a much wider dynamic range. It also combats the bleached-out effect created by flash photography and increases exposure latitude, a great advantage in difficult lighting conditions.

    Direct Printing
The FinePix S3 Pro is PictBridge compatible, which enables you to transfer pictures from your digital camera to your printer, without a PC or image-editing software. All PictBridge devices share three basic features: camera-to-printer connecting, single-image printing, and uniform error messages (in case something goes wrong)

    Storage and Transfer
The FinePix S3 Pro offers a dual-media approach to storage: XD and CompactFlash Type II memory cards (offering compatibility with optional Microdrives, which can provide up to 1 GB of storage). It also incorporates dual PC connectivity, via super-fast USB 2.0 or IEEE 1394 (FireWire, also called i.Link).

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my needs and more
I bought this card in conjunction with my Fuji S5000 (which I HIGHLY recommend), and for the three months that I've been using them, they have done absolutely EVERYTHING that I could have wanted. I generally take photos at the 2MP (1600x1200) setting, which gives me reasonable photo size/clarity without taking huge amounts of space--each photo is between 550kb and 650kb, which allows me to take 410 at 2MP. I can get 550 on 1 MP, 325 on 3MP, and 173 on 6MP. On RAW 6MP, I can only get 37 though... this is what makes me consider getting a 512 card, or waiting for the upcoming 1GB card Fuji is developing. I've taken thousands of photos in the few months that I've owned this card, and none have been less than perfect as far as the card's impact on them.

The entire line of xD technology is revolutionary and is REALLY great. It has low battery-drain, it's REAL fast, and it's very versatile. Not to mention small--I'm able to have a rather small camera bag (6"h, 5"w, 3"d) partly because I don't have overly large, bulky cards and cases taking up more space than necessary.

Beyond its obvious application of excellent use in digital photos, I've actually used it like a removable mini-drive, similar to my pen-drive. However, as this card is larger than my 128MB jumpdrive, i was able to bring what i needed even when my jumpdrive was full. this is more useful than imaginable. i'm getting a Fujifilm DPC-UD1 xD USB Drive Reader and a second xD card, either 256 or 512MB to use it just like my jumpdrive. Again, this is EXCELLENT technology, and the BEST OPTION for new digitals.

1-0 out of 5 stars Ritz is unconcerned about customer satisfaction!!!!
A couple of days ago I ordered a 256 MB XD card from Amazon.com and Ritz was the seller. I received an e-mail from Ritz stating that my debit card would be charged 88.95. Amazon quoted me a price of 82.00. The difference was $6.95 in shipping. When I got the item the invoice read that I was charged the $6.95 for shipping. I had already had prior contact with Amazon and they stated that I would not be charged for shipping. I called and spoke with "Johnson" about the matter. Johnson could have cared less that I was billed for shipping and was under the pre-tense that there would be no shipping charge. It was tough luck on my part as far as he was concerned. There are many companies that Amazon sponsors that specifically state that they do not offer free shipping, but Ritz does not state this when they are sponsored seller for Amazon, although they do state on their website that "in order for an order to qualify, it must be at least 100.00. After checking my debit card, I find I was not charged for shipping. Because of Johnson's unconcerned attitude regarding my problem, this will be the last item that I purchase from Ritz and I will see to it that I spread the word about what a caring company Ritz is not. It is bad business to burn bridges over $7.00. Amazon promised I would not be charged shipping and I was not. If looking for memory, use one of Amazon's other sponsered companies. They might care more about the cutomer.
    Thank you,
    Mark Jones

FYI, it takes just over 10 minutes to download 256 MBs worth of pictures. Works just fine.

1-0 out of 5 stars I got a spatula instead of the picture card I ordered!!!!!!
i cannot believe that whoever packed my order.gave me a kitchen spatula instead of a picture card!

5-0 out of 5 stars Embrace Change
The first complaint I always read about these cards is "They're pricey". Pricey is paying $200 for a 4 Megabyte SIMM for my 486 PC back in the day! Technologically speaking these cards read and write faster and consume less power then any of their rivials (not to mention they are much smaller too!). The prices on these cards has already come down a decent amount in the past few months. It's no different than when SD cards were twice the price of CF now they are only about 50% more. You get what you pay for and if speed, capacity, low power consumption, and small size is what you're in need of, that's what you buy. Having used devices that use CF cards and SD cards I'll say that I appreciate the xD card and find them to be reasonably priced for their advantages over SD and CF. Fuji is a quality company and it's good to see they aren't giving up on R&D of newer media. That said... I hope xD cards stand the test of time and stick around long enough for me to wear out my Olympus C-5050! ... Read more

    Amazon.com Product Description

Speed is mostly what sets the A340 apart from previous cameras. Slide the camera cover open and you'll be ready to start taking photos in about three seconds. The camera also has a quick refresh between images--less than a second. Images come out of the A340 quickly, too, since it is compatible with the much-faster transfer speeds of USB 2.0 when uploading to computers that are likewise equipped.

    Optics and resolution
Featuring a 4-megapixel CCD sensor, the A340 can create images up to 2016 x 1512 pixels, which is enough information to create photo-quality prints up to 10 by 13 inches. The camera features a 3x Fujinon zoom lens. Also, the camera has a 1.7x digital zoom feature, but only when shooting in 2 MP mode. To get those close-up shots full of detail, the A340's macro mode can focus the camera on subjects just 3.6 inches from the lens.

    Movie mode
Shoot up to one minute of AVI video without sound at resolutions up to 320 x 240 pixels; up to four minutes at lower resolutions. The movies aren't camcorder quality, but they're fun and convenient, and they're perfect as e-mail attachments. The camera includes cables that allow you to view your movies on NTSC (North American) and PAL (other regions) televisions and, of course, you can upload the files to your computer via the camera's USB interface.

I just got this camera for christmas and it is relatively easy for a first time user so i give it 5 stars so i would recomend this camera to every one

4-0 out of 5 stars If pictures from a semester at the White House come out...
So I must disagree with the reviewer from Maine, who believe it or not cannot seem to spell anything correctly, thus I would expect her to rate this camera low as it is probably above her to even know anything about a camera much less operate one. My sister purchased the originial of this camera over the summer for her internship with Laura Bush, at the same time my other sister and my brother were getting cameras for the first years of university life and I must say that of the three cameras I liked the Fuji the best. My first digital camera 4 years ago was a Nikon CoolPix and I will NEVER own another Nikon. I purchased the Fuji the other night and am so pleased with it. The pictures look amazing on the camera, on my computer and in print. No complaints here! Thank you Fuji for securing my loyality for years to come.

4-0 out of 5 stars Well, I like this camera!
I purchased this camera this afternoon. I didn't buy it from amazon. I purchased it at a PC Richards. I knew the salesman and he gave me a good deal. Anyway, I was going to get the 3 pixal one, but that was out of stock. The salesman sold me this one at the same price, which was $200. I was deciding between this one and a canon, and he recommended this one. I have had it for an hour, and I love it. It is so easy to use. I just skimmed throught the instructions. I was able to navigate the menu's with no problem. I wanted to point that out, since a lot of the compliants are that it is not that easy to use. I have about ten pictures that I took so far. I used my new puppy as my test subject. They came out great. It is easy to pick out the pictures that you want, and the ones that you want to delete. I can't wait to print some up. I just needed one with the basics. This has that and more. I love it, and I am glad I purchased this one. It is highly recommended. I only gave it four stars, because I wish the memory card held more. Don't have second thoughts on this. It is definitly a good price, and compact.

5-0 out of 5 stars great camera!
I'm suprised there are a few reviews that aren't so good, we love this little camera! The pictures are clear, sharp, nice colors, and theres some really great features for being such an affordable price. This is a really good family camera. Not for the professional.
    (...)
above website will show pics of low light, indoor light, and outside.
PS. cradle is optional. USB connects to your computer to upload. It would be cheaper to get a $15 recharger & batteries.

2-0 out of 5 stars Fuji Flop
I have to agree with erosomniac, from Seattle, WA. The FujiFilm A340 is a waste of money. I previously had a FujiFilm 2600 and it took far superior pictures than the A340. I contacted Fuji (sent them pictures from the A340 and they sent me back pictures with the same problems) and that was also a waste of time. Outdoor pictures are either too bright or too dark, really hard to get a good clear picture. ... Read more

    Amazon.com Product Description

Speed is mostly what sets the A330 apart from previous cameras. Slide the camera cover open and you'll be ready to start taking photos in about three seconds. The camera also has a quick refresh between images--less than a second. Images come out of the A330 quickly, too, since it is compatible with the much-faster transfer speeds of USB 2.0 when uploading to computers that are likewise equipped.

    Optics and Resolution
Featuring a 3.2-megapixel CCD sensor, the A330 can create images up to 2272 x 1704 pixels, which is enough information to create photo-quality prints up to 11 by 15 inches. The camera features a 3x Fujinon zoom lens. Also, the camera has a 1.6x digital zoom feature, but only when shooting in 2MP mode. To get those close-up shots full of detail, the A330's macro mode can focus the camera on subjects just 3.6 inches from the lens.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a great camera!
This is a great camera! I repeat great. It is very light weight and compact. I got this for Christmas, I wasn't very impressed with its looks but once I decided to open it, it was actually nice. This camera is easy to use and you can easily transfer files to your computer. The memory cards are hard to find and it uses batteries very quickly but these shouldn't affect if you should by it. I highly recommend this camera.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool Camera
This is my second Fuji, my first was the MX-1200. It took great pictures, nothing last for ever. So now I own the A330 and it's<br />standing up to my old one even better. What I like is that you can be in a dim lighted room and take a picture that comes out as if you had all the lights on. Fuji has my business. Also it's very easy to use.

4-0 out of 5 stars FujiFilm FinePix A330 what a pleaser
What a pleaser to finaly get a Camera that works for my specific needs that I use it for.As I take my company's product pics with it and most of the time the colors and evrything comes out perfect only time its not perfect is when my lighting is in correct and the high res. and low res options also is fantastic.

    5-0 out of 5 stars Fuji A330
This is my second digital camera in 5 years - handed down the old one to the kids. I was hesitant to give up my old one because of how easy it was to use (an old HP model)but it was bulky and I wanted some new features. I bought the Sony DSC P32 and hated how complicated it was. I hung on to it for 90 days hoping I could dedicate a week or so to reading about how to use the darn thing when I finally gave up and returned it. I was referred to the Fuji A330 for ease of use. It is so easy, my kids use it! It takes great pictures all around - inside, outside, light or dark. The software also is much better than what came with the Sony I returned. A friend bought the Nikon 3200 and we compared our cameras to eachother. We found them to have practically identical features except that the Fuji is about $50 less so I know I get the better deal. One very important thing to keep in mind is that the software be user friendly. Even if you find a camera that you like, if the software stinks, you won't get the best use out of your camera. The software with the Fuji is good.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great price but ...
This camera is a lot smaller than the last year model, Fuji FinePix A210 and costs about 20 to 30 dollars more. I bought this camera based on the reviews on the A210. This is my second digital camera. The camera comes with 2 Alkaline batteries, a 16M xD memory card. I use 2 NimH rechargeable batteries instead. It doesn't come with a case.

The Fuji A330 camera is a point-and-shoot camera that has red eye reduction. I was able to operate without reading the instruction manual. Under bight light, the LCD screen is very fade and hard to see. If you want to download the pictures to the computer, you will need to install the USB driver. I have Windows 2000 and the software installation is a snap.

The outdoor pictures are acceptable. However I was disappointed with indoor pictures. Even at a 4-5 feet range, the pictures were dark. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Same old stuff
Fuji 2600 sold very good in 2001 because it was cheap & solid camera (with below average build quality). They removed some features and downgraded its screen & lens speed to make 2650 in 2002 even cheaper. Come 2003 they have added video-out/3MP and futher downgraded it, made it uglier and zero innovation.

Basically its gotten thicker (well above 2 inches), poor night capability, grainy LCD, cheapo plastic body, expensive xD cards and average build quality. The picture quality in daylight is very good though. Battery life and user interface are also good.

Meanwhile cameras from Canon, Sony, Nikon and other companies have improved a lot, added many features and have gotten cheaper. Right now Canon A60/A70 is much better option.

Ofcourse first time users (who never had a digital camera before) will give it 5 stars and will be very happy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy camera for beginners
This is one great camera. My sister who is a professional photograher oftens borrows my Fugifilm because of the ease of use, great quality of pictures and it is compact. I am really impressed that I can finally take a decent picture and now have many of them as my wall paper on my computer.

5-0 out of 5 stars I would recommend this camera
I am so pleased with this camera, and I love the program. The only thing I wish it had voice when you are recording movies. The program is easy and I know where my pictures are. I had Kodak easy share, and I spend hours locating my pictures. I am still learning how to operate it, but I am happy with it, so I had to let you know.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Quality Great Value Great Pics
After much research and trepidation I bought this newly released camera. There were no real reviews available because it just became available in the US the end of March.I am replacing a Finepix A310 which for the price was a decent point and shoot but was damaged beyond repair in an accident.

For features and picture quality I believe the price is hard to beat. After experimenting for a week, I have found the photos to be excellent both in doors and out doors with various modes available such as portrait, landscape and even a night mode. The one thing that plagued other cameras in this class was underpowered flash..the flash is more than adequate for a camera of this size and I am extremely pleased with the results.

It is smaller but more solid than my previous finepix and very intuitive controls and miserly on battery usage while most others are simply battery hogs.It even does video with amazing good quality however the sound is monoraul and leaves something to be desired.

If you need a point and shoot with some manual adjustments available, good battery usage, compact and occasional video then this is the camera for you.Again..proof is in the photos themselves.Oh..this thing powers up ready to shoot amazingly quick...

Enjoy..you can't go wrong with this one..latest technology and usually can be found up to 30% off its list price. ... Read more

Updating the S7000 model, the advanced performance and compact design of the FinePix S20 Pro digital SLR-style camera promises to find use in a variety of professional applications--studio portrait and wedding photography to baby photos, school photos, and event photos. The camera has a 3.1-megapixel Super CCD SR sensor, which can produce a 6-megapixel image thanks to its innovative layout of paired photodiodes. It also features a 6x optical zoom, dual memory slots (for XD and CompactFlash cards), and manual focusing ring.

    Optics and Resolution
    The FinePix S20 Pro's Super CCD SR sensor uses 3.1 million S-pixels and 3.1 million R-pixels (for 6.2 million effective photodiodes) to deliver 6 million recorded pixels and noticeable image improvements to that of single-pixel cameras. It produces the following resolution modes: 2832 x 2128, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, and 640 x 480.

In addition to the zoom button, you can manually control focal length by turning the zoom ring on the lens barrel, just as you would with a conventional SLR camera.

    Movie Mode and Audio
In addition to still images, the FinePix S20 Pro can also capture high-quality, 30-fps (frames per second) video with audio at 640 x 480 and 320 x 240 pixel resolutions. Additionally, the FinePix S20 Pro's live video function enables you to view the subject on a monitor withouthaving to rely on the LCD display or electronic viewfinder.

You can also record voice memos of up to 30 seconds and append them to images (in WAV format).

    More Features
The FinePix S20 Pro's CCD RAW mode offers photographers the chance to save full image data uncompressed, guaranteeing every element of the captured file is ready for careful out-of-camera manipulation.

The FinePix S20 Pro lets you manually select ISO-equivalent sensitivity from 160 to 1600 (in 1280 x 960 pixel mode), just as you would choose film type depending on subject and shooting conditions.

    Other features include:

    • Hot Shoe, for studio or location photography requiring a more powerful external flash
    • Cable release socket to prevent camera shake during long exposures, macro photography, etc.
    • 1.8-inch low temperature polysilicon TFT (118,000 pixels)
    • Built-in flash with auto, red-eye reduction, forced flash, suppressed flash, and slow synchro modes

    Direct Printing
The FinePix S20 Pro is PictBridge compatible, which enables you to transfer pictures from your digital camera to your printer, without a PC or image-editing software. All PictBridge devices share three basic features: camera-to-printer connecting, single-image printing, and uniform error messages (in case something goes wrong)

    Storage and Transfer
The FinePix S20 Pro offers a dual-media approach to storage: XD and CompactFlash Type II memory cards (offering compatibility with optional Microdrives, which can provide up to 1 GB of storage). It comes with a 16 MB XD card. It also incorporates dual PC connectivity, via super-fast USB 2.0 or IEEE 1394 (FireWire, also called i.Link).

    Power and Size
The camera is powered by 4 AA batteries (alkalines included, rechargeable NiMH batteries recommended). It measures 4.8 x 3.2 x 3.8 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 17.6 ounces (excluding battery and storage media).

    What's in the Box
This package contains the FinePix S20 Pro digital camera, 16 MB XD memory card, 4 AA alkaline batteries, shoulder strap, lens cap, lens cap holder, synchro terminal cap, and USB, A/V, and FireWire cables. The included CD-ROM features FinePixViewer, ImageMixer VCD2 for FinePix, and RAW File Converter LE software. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Camera
Small, compact, and amazing pictures. The battery life on this thing is amazing, I've taken 200+ shots on highest resolution and I've had this camera for over 4 months and I have NEVER seen the battery level drop. The only downfall is a little purple noise with low light shots.

Overall, I would suggest this camera to anyone who wants a simple and tiny camera that will take great pictures whenever they are needed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Stylish, very small, great shots!!
This is my third digital camera, the previous 2 being a Fujifilm FinePix 1300, and a Fujifilm FinePix 2800. My first comment is that I miss the 6x optical zoom of the 2800 which was really powerful.

The camera is beautifully designed, cool looking in a style that will not look out of date in a hurry, and also very compact and thus easy to carry about, say in a shirt pocket. As an architect, I love to be able to whip out and shoot any scenery, sunset or building that catches my fancy at anytime and this serves just fine. To enable me to take lots of photos at a go, I got a 128Mb card which stores 86 images at the 6 mega pixel resolution.

It is very simple to use (you literally snap away once you have set up, which is very easy to do) and shortcut buttons eliminate the need to twiddle in the menu section in search of most options such as different flash settings, different resolution settings, Macro mode (amazing close ups), and many others. There are also some pop ups to guide you, reducing your dependence on the manual (which, like all Fujifilm manuals I have seen, is very detailed and easy to use) except for really major issues.

Images viewed in the LCD display are really clear and bright when it is used as a viewfinder, especially for indoor shots (was dark for my 2 previous cameras). Viewing of images stored on the card is very easy. You can zoom into images (in playback mode), as well as pan around to see hidden bits (at the sides, top and bottom, which are usually hidden the larger the zoomed image is) which I find a very helpful feature. You can also crop images. The welcome LCD display (and accompanying star trek like bleeps) adds a nice touch.

The AF/AE lock is a breeze to use and takes exceptional shots every time. Photo quality is really amazing. You can pick out fine details in the background of the subject. Colours and contrasts are good and sharp. Flash modes are easy to access and dark indoor shots taken using suppressed flash yielded amazing results. However, the darker it is, the more noise in the picture. Outdoor shots on a bright day are unbelievable in their clarity.

The Movie clips with audio are very simple to make, and it is very easy to switch between resolutions (320x240 for 120sec clips, 160x120 for 480sec clips). Results are quite good, though best results are obtained where there is a lot of light, e.g. outdoors on a sunny day.

Battery life is very good but it's always best to have a spare. The battery charges in just under two and a half hours which also is helpful if you don't have all day.

The cradle is stylish looking too. I have mine permanently hooked to my PC and just place the camera on it, switch it on, and the software launches and downloads everything quite fast.
The FinePixViewer software is very good. It is very easy to view folder contents at a glance, set up a slide show, etc. You get lots of print options from full photo, Index 1x2 (2 photos on a sheet), 2x2, through to 7x5.

Print results are simply breathtaking, whatever the size of paper, up to A3. Colours are rich and images very realistic looking.

This is a camera I would recommend without hesitation. It blows away any other camera in its class or price range. I have had it for just 7 months. Friends of mine (one of whom owns a Canon Powershot A70 but wishes he got this) who have handled it are impressed. If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive, compact, high resolution camera, look no further. I hope this review helps you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Overall a good digicam
It has a unique ON button. Very user friendly with simple functions and buttons. It lacks Manual Functions. Picture quality's superb except for some visible purple noise for low light shots. Durable Battery Life. Visit http://www.pbase.com/jv3nus for pictures i took using this camera.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great all around digital camera.
Great camera. Easy to use, and completely compatible with XP. I had no trouble installing it, and no trouble downloading the images. The battery life is fantastic; I never thought it would take so many pictures on a single charge. The images are great, and the Black and White mode along with the Chrome mode (looks like slides), allow for a wide variety of image creativity. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Super fast start up, very friendly camera.
I've own a Olympus C-40zoom for 2 years and I do like it a lot, the only problem I have with it the the sloooooow startup time, looooong wait between shoot to shoot, so I put in on eBay and ready for my next one. I've tried 4 different cameras (Leica D-Lux, Casio Z3, Olympus D-560, Fuji F700) and finally this is THE one. SUPER fast start up, quick charge from shoot to shoot. Very easy to operate and excellent picture quality. to be honesy I don't know and don't have "expectation" for what the Super CCD SR sensor will do, but I know the output is definitely satisfy what I am looking for. A little bit expensive, but metal body gives it a high quality feeling. Over all, good camera and does deliver what I need.

    3-0 out of 5 stars 6MP price for a 3MP camera
the f700 uses fuji's superCCD system, basically using two 3.1MP sensors to capture your images. it's a fine camera, but i'm not sure this new system justifies the price premium.

    pros:
    - 6-megapixel interpolated still mode.
    - vivid colors.
    - 3x optical zoom.
    - flexible: point and shooters have automatic selections and scene modes while creative shooters have plenty of control with manual and priority exposure modes.
    - continuous shooting mode.
    - RAW file output.
    - bright LCD works well even in low light.
    - xD card features short write times, less battery usage.
    - minimal shutter lag.
    - fast shot to shot times.
    - good macro performance.
    - very good movie mode plus unlimited 30 fps 320x240 video.
    - low redeye occurrence.
    - built-in AF illuminator.
    - solidly built with a metal body.
    - cradle for charging and video transfer supplied.
    - compact size: dimensions are 4.3"W x 2.1"H x 1.1"D, weighing 6.7 oz. (excluding batteries and media).

    cons:
    - price - a hefty premium has been added due to fuji's new superCCD system but i'm not sure the performance justifies this high price.
    - image quality not as good as competition - too noisy and over-compressed.
    - visible purple fringing.
    - noticeable vignetting.
    - no gain in resolution using the 6MP image size setting.
    - no direct adjustment for tone or color saturation.
    - flash exposures slightly underexposed.
    - ISO 1600 limited to one megapixel image size (1280 x 960).
    - no control over JPEG compression levels.
    - you're on your own when using manual focus - it doesn't show focus distance.
    - no exposure info for photos in playback mode.
    - no slow shutter noise reduction.
    - slowest shutter speed available is 3 seconds.
    - the supplied 16MB xD card is inadequate. be prepared to shell out a few more bucks for more memory (at least 128MB).
    - the batteries supplied are proprietary so add a few bucks to your budget for a spare.

the f700 is a great looking camera, light, and compact. more importantly, it cranks out decent looking pictures. but the superCCD system that fuji uses doesn't give as much detail as promised. is this a 6MP or 3MP camera? i'm on the 3MP camp; the 6MP interpolated mode just doesn't seem to make that big of a difference. if this camera delivered 6MP performance, its high price would be justified. if you come to the same conclusion i did that this is closer to a 3MP camera, then this is definitely over-priced. for this price, you can get a very nice "regular" 5MP canon s50.

i hope this helps your buying decision. peace.

4-0 out of 5 stars I Have Compared
I have currently a Nikon CoolPix 775 2MP.A Sony DSC P92 5MP.A Sony DSC P72 3MP an HP C500 2MP.a Canon Powershot S230 3 mp... and this Fuji F700 and have owned a Sony DSC S75 3.2 MP and a Canon S410 4MP...and others. I wont go into why I have so many but will concentrate on my review here of the F700. The controversy is that this is really an 3.2 mega-pixel camera and not a 6mp. I agree with the 3.2 camp. Compared to all the cameras mentioned this Fuji F700 takes just as good or better than any in Auto mode, inside or out.(I use auto mode as a test because with proper adjustments all cameras can be made to take improved pictures but this takes experience and testing that many of us dont want to do, though some simple setting adjustments will help for 98 percent of your pictures). Test pictures were taken of the same subject matter from a stationary camera using the timer to avoid any camera movement as well as freehand shots with and without flash. I find that my best pictures are taken in the 3MP setting. Even taking them in "RAW" or 6MP setting doesnt make a noticeable difference.... indeed... sometimes it is less detailed. You should see improvement in enlarged or cropped pictures using RAW or 6 MP settings though I havent experimented much in printing 8x10 or larger.(Ink and gloss paper prices make me cry). Actually... the Sony 5MP P92's 5mp pics were worse than their 3 mp pics ( i almost think I may have a bad sony cam), and the F700 is better on both settings. I wanted to move to a shirtpocket size camera because I was missing a lot of shots not wanting to tote my bigger cameras. By the time they are in a case its like carrying a purse. This F700 I carry everywhere except to bed. The plusses for me... Size... great movies, but only 7.5 minutes on a 512MB picture card, The continuous shooting mode which lets you take continuous pics but only at 1 MP.... the 5 shot pic mode, add sound clips to pics, 1.8 inch viewfinder, focus assist lamp, RAW mode, speed, very easy to navigate settings, easy to remember and change. The 2 main drawbacks and reason I may still try another camera is I really want a larger than 3 power zoom and this camera wont accept any additional lenses. I knew this going in but thought I could live without this feature... You either miss lots of photo ops because you dont have your cam with you because its too big or you miss them because of the lack of a large zoom. Thats my quandry. This Fuji F700 has as many or more features and as good as picture quality than ALL the cameras I have owned.I slip it into a babys mitten then the plastic bag it came in(humidity will form on camera when in pocket under exertion).then into my pocket( I plan on sewing my own waterproof bag someday). If you get this cam get the FUJIFILM xD-Picture Card over the SanDisk... the trnasfer rates are way faster. microwavedave@sbcglobal.net

3-0 out of 5 stars Video mode a problem: card space and sound quality
I bought this camera not because of the claimed 6MP quality because it looked like it had a number of features I liked: quick setup, a balance between auto and programmable features, a docking station, rechargeable battery. But I really fell for the high-quality movie mode for as long as the card holds out. However, I have to say that this is a problem, as the movie mode is so high quality that the card is instantly full - I bought a separate 128 MB card, which stores about 2.5 minutes of video at the LOW resolution mode before it's full - not enough for anything! I haven't even bothered with high resolution. And the sound quality is very bad, a lot of noise. Other than that, the camera is solidly built, feels good, looks great and is easy to use.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great results...
I love this camera! I have used several digital camera's over the last few years and this one is by far my favorite. The shutter speed is fast, the colors are fantastic, great zoom capability and it is small enough to take everywhere. It comes with a docking cradle which makes it very easy to download my pictures, as well as charge the camera. ... Read more
