5-0 out of 5 stars Great film!
I use this film just normally for everyday stuff. It isn't grainy when you enlarge the photos, and the colors are just outstanding. I use the 800 for the really important stuff though because I think the colors are more vibrant. But, for just vacations, stuff around the house, the 400 will do a great job. Anything less it basically a waste of money. I shoot at least a roll a week just of everyday life and this is the one that I choose all the time. I have a basket full!

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this film
This film has great color production and performance. The price is also just right. You can't go wrong with the Fujifilm Superia X-TRA 400.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best all around film
Modern 400 speed films are better in every way than the slow 100 speed films when I first started shooting 35mm. Because of this I see no reason to shoot anything slower than ISO 400 these days. Of all the color films I like Fuji Superia the best; the colors are rich and saturated without looking unatural. Grain and sharpness are very good for a fast film. This is now my standard film. I buy bricks of Fuji Superia X-TRA and onsies and twosies of everything else and my pictures have never looked better.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Amateur Color Film
I've used this film on a few occasions under different lighting situations and I suggest everyone who's into photography from the level of beginner to professional to use this film. My prefered method of using this film is a combonation of exsisting light and strobe...including on camera flash! It's a great price and provided you process using a professional laboratory, the results will be extremely pleasing!

5-0 out of 5 stars Kodak vs. Fuji Film
As I have read the previous comments about the superiority of Fugi film to Kodak (and I agree in part), however, it should be pointed out that the reason Fugi film worked so well on the Long Island sound photo shoot is because Fugi film lends itself more to the greens and blues in the color spectrum while the Kodak films lend themselves more to the warm yellows, oranges and deep reds of sunsets and Vermont landscapes in the fall. Fugi film is exceptional but its quility is limited just as is Kodak. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Comparable Fuji vs. Kodak APS film
I performed extensive tests (about 2 rolls each) of Fuji and Kodak APS films at 100, 200, and 400 ASA, using a Canon ELPH camera (the original aspherical zoom lens model). I shot a variety of outdoor scenes in a variety of lighting conditions (e.g. downtown skyscraper architectural with bright clear blue sunny skies, flowers and trees with both bright sun and shade, rock close-ups in overcast). I shot a few indoor locations, without a flash at ASA 400, with flash for the others. I examined the results for color, range, clarity and grain. Here's what I saw:

For ASA 100, Kodak kicked butt. Clearly better color rendition, and much, much tighter grain and better detail in all the bright lighting situations, especially with panorama print.

For ASA 400, I was pleasantly surprised that Fuji really outperformed the Kodak film. Fuji had vibrant blues and was good all across to the reds. Kodak felt washed out on the blue side, weirdly. Also surprising was that Fuji had tighter grain in bright conditions; they both looked grainy of course in lower light, but the Fuji somehow felt smoother or less chunky in the blown-up panorama prints. It also seemed to have better tonal range in both light and dark settings.

Frankly, neither of the ASA 200 films seemed acceptable to me for outdoor shots; indoors with flash, both were OK and Kodak was maybe better color. Outside, they both felt lower contrast/saturation, subsequently cramped color, didn't have the tight grain of the 100, and didn't work as well in low light and indoors (without flash) as the 400. Just seemed not worth it compared to the two options.

1-0 out of 5 stars Go For the Kodak
You get what you pay for... In many places and stores the Fuji film is less exppensive than the Kodak. Spend the extra 2 dollars and buy the Kodak. I bought the Fuji film because it was on sale, the first roll that i shot was okay, except that my friend was using the exact same camera as me (Olympus) and he shot w./the Kodak 400 ISO and it was much sharper and much better quality than my shots. Then the second roll of the Fuji i put in jamed and i had to get my camera fixed for a cost of 20 dollars. The peeople at the repair shop said that the film was made improperly and that is why it got stuck in my camera. I will never buy Fuji film again, their developing process is also sub-par compared w/Kodak but i won't disuss that here. Save yourself the touble buy the Kodak.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sharp, vivid photos
Recently I shot several hundred photos with my Elph 2 camera using both Fuji and Kodak film. The pictures were taken under a wide range of lighting conditions. To my eyes, the photos taken with Fuji 400 film are consistently brighter with more vivid colors than those taken with Kodak film. Fuji 400 is now the only film that I buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent performance
I've run a lot of this film at ASA400 and ASA200 through a Fuji Tiara 1010 APS camera, and have gotten excellent results with it. The Fuji's fixed focal length lens is nice and sharp, and the combination of the sharp lens with this film produces brilliantly colored, sharp photos. I've had a number of photos with this film blown up to 8 x 12 size, and it's surprising how sharp and ungrainy the photos are. You really can't see the grain all that well except at ASA400 looking at a patch of blue sky. I've framed and mounted some of these photos on the wall of my office, and have gotten many compliments on them over the last several months by people who've dropped by my office. (Of course, it helps that these photos were of the Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park Amphitheater. Bryce Canyon has to be about the most photogenic place on earth.) If the person is a knowledgeable photographer, they're always surprised to find out the photos were taken with an APS camera with its smaller film format and relatively fast, ASA400 film. One thing I've noticed is that this film doesn't punch up the color intensities, especially in the green and blue range, as much as the Fuji Velvia series, which produces the most riotous colors you could possibly want. If you want really brilliant and intense colors, you can't beat the Velvia film. The Nexia film is closer to actual reality, and sometimes I prefer that to the Velvia. Either way, I've gotten good results from both films.

5-0 out of 5 stars 3 films at a Reduced price!!
Well, who can argue with buying a 3 pack at less than it would normally cost?! Fuji films are reliable and the 400 series are almost brilliant in all conditions, light, dark, misty, it suits them all. It's an all purpose film at a great cost. Buy them if you need them, If not, then don't!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome film!
I use this film in my Canon Rebel and just love it! Most of what I take looks like a postcard with this film. I've photographed things in the worst lighting conditions with no problems whatsoever with this film. It can be light at times, depending on the developer, but all-in-all, I'm VERY satisfied with this film and buy it quite frequently. Most of what I use it for are photographs of family, but it is also used for items pictured on ebay and it just does a wonderful job. I can't recommend this film enough!

1-0 out of 5 stars vacation
I was unable to use this film in my camera. I bought 12 rolls and had to return them. I have a Samsung Fino 105S Maxima Zoom. I am only able to use either the 100, 200, or 400 speeds in my camera.

5-0 out of 5 stars No bargain!
I was expecting a deal! Without trying too hard I can get this product for under [amt] and even less with a coupon.

3-0 out of 5 stars This film is definitely worth your money
Seeing as how I don't develop my own film, I depend on the developer and the developer makes prints at the exact film rating. This is definitely good film - Fuji does bring out the color in my pictures! Despite the graininess of ISO 800, the results were sharp too.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fuji brings great color to a film for Zoom Cameras!
I chose Fuji Superia 800 for use in my Canon EOS RebelX 35mm with a 80-300mm zoom lens. I enjoy doing portrait photography of young children, and sometimes experiment with films. This film provided for great color saturation. The greens, blues, and yellows just leap from the page. Although the yellows seemed to be a bit heavy in some of the pictures, it still provided for a great shot. This 800 speed film does become a little grainy when enlarged to 8x10. However, for the money, it's nice to know I can shoot my friend's football game and get some great portraits of my nieces on the same roll. This film is great, because you can't always plan for what photo taking opportunities lay ahead. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Depends on what you want!
Fuji film is, in general, going to have a much more color saturated look than Kodak. It all depends on what you want! If you want the most realistic color, Fuji probably isn't your best choice. However, Fuji can sometimes look more vibrant or subdued, depending also on the setting. There's nothing wrong with extra color saturation that may not be exactly realistic, if that's what you want! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Just okay
If you're not really into photography, then this film will be just okay. Maybe use it for your children's cameras but not for really serious photos. The colors are okay, not superior and enlargements really are not that great. It's just not that great of a film and I highly suggest moving up to the 400 or 800 if what you're taking is really important. The colors are more vivid especially in the 800 and you really have nicer photos. This speed is just for playing, I think. But for the serious photographer, move on to something else. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars God Aweful!!! Kodak is better
I have never used Fuji film in my Canon aps camera before, so I decided to give it a try. Big mistake for thinking that film with the same speed is the same as the rest. I took pictures at an outdoor wedding with Fuji 200 aps film and Kodak 200 aps film and the Fuji prints were terrible. The fuji prints were grainy and the colors looked washed out. The pictures taken with the Kodak film were much sharper and colors were vibrant. Fuji film is a waste of money. Pay little more and go with Kodak. You will not be sorry. Cheap film means cheap looking pictures. I will never use Fuji film again.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good film, but prices here are way too high.
For an all-purpose color film, I nearly always shoot Fuji's 200 speed. It has the cooler tones that I prefer in my images and a good saturation level. The only drawback that I've seen while looking at various film prices here is that they are way over-priced! The only place that I've seen where you pay more for film is in the supermarkets. Any regular camera store or photo finisher will have this stuff for a lot less, and you won't have to wait for it to ship.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fuji is the best film out there
I am always taking pictures and I am so thoroughly impressed with Fuji film and especially the 200 ISO that it's the only film I will use- Kodak doesnt seem to deliver the results I want and when I tried Fuji- it became my favorite right off- great colors, bold, doesnt mute them like I found Kodak to do- highly recommend. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars THIS FILM...
I used 2 rolls of this 4 pack and ended up throwing the other 2 rolls away. The color is dull like you wouldnt believe, looks like a B&W picture with a slight color tone to it. It is not sharp at all, and there is a considerable amount of grain EVEN WITH IT BEING ASA 100 SPEED FILM! This is the worst film I have ever used.

5-0 out of 5 stars Rich true color for a film in this range
Fuji film produces beautiful colors at a very low price without compromising quality. This is a great all around film on sunny days and for dawn/dust shots on a tripod. Since this is a slow speed film with very fine grain, it's ideal for enlargements.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very good.
Great outdoor pictures, and cheaper than Kodak. That's all I have to say. ... Read more
