    Amazon.com Product Description

Highlighted by an advanced new, fourth-generation Super CCD SR sensor, the FujiFilm FinePix S3 Pro digital SLR takes digital photography dramatically closer to film quality. The FinePix S3 Pro offers a full feature set that's perfect for professional photographers, including a 6.17-megapixel effective resolution, compatibility with Nikon F-mount lenses as well as a majority of Nikkor AF lenses. Improvements over the FinePix S2 include larger, more ergonomically placed buttons, power from 4 rechargeable NiMH batteries, and USB 2.0 connectivity (as well as FireWire). This model does not include a lens.

    Optics and Resolution
The FinePix S3 Pro's Super CCD SR sensor (23 x 15.5mm) uses 6.17 million S-pixels and 6.17 million R-pixels (for 12.3 million effective photodiodes) to deliver 12 million recorded pixels and noticeable image improvements to that of single-pixel cameras. The SR sensor's unique double photodiode design broadens tonal capability, from bright highlights to deep shadows. It produces the following resolution modes: 4256 x 2848, 3024 x 2016, 2304 x 1536, and 1440 x 960.

It has a Nikon F mount and accepts a full range of Nikkor F-series lenses--including AF-D, AF-G and AF-S type professional optics.

    Fourth-Generation Super CCD SR
FujiFilm's Super CCD SR provides a truer representation of the actual subject being photographed, revealing highlight detail and offering a four-fold increase in dynamic range. By using an innovative layout of paired photodiodes--in a "honeycomb" pattern--the technology enables confident shooting in both bright and cloudy conditions. The Super CCD improves overall signal-to-noise ratio and offers a much wider dynamic range. It also combats the bleached-out effect created by flash photography and increases exposure latitude, a great advantage in difficult lighting conditions.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for land and water
We took this little guy to Maui and planned to use it for snorkeling. We ended up renting an underwater camera later in the week so we didn't get many water photos with the disposable. But the pictures we took turned out pretty good including the land photos.

5-0 out of 5 stars great pictures both in and out of the water
This is a great little camera for taking pictures both in and out of the water. Not surprisingly, it delivers best underwater on a sunny day, but even on overcast days, it produces crisp pictures with great detail.

On land, it is much less particular about lighting, and produces pictures with beautiful colour in light or shadow, or both.

Since it takes such nice pictures out of the water, a first time user might want to practice with it on land. The lever action feels a lot different from the push-button action of regular throw-away cameras, and since you don't hear the click of the shutter underwater, you might be uncertain whether anything happened. A couple of test shots (without the urgency of a sea turtle swimming by or a beautiful school of fish) should increase the photographer's confidence in the camera when underwater.

The big wheel that advances the film works very well; it's easy to find by touch, so getting another snap of something before it swims away isn't difficult.

There's also a little strap to keep it on your wrist, although it's a good idea to keep a firm hold on the camera anyway while swimming.

The simple operation made it a hit with the kids; they were able to make their own special souvenirs of the underwater world.

    Excellent value.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sensational little disposable -- BUY IT!
It's just about the only camera I needed for a vacation to Maui. I hauled along my digital camera, my "real" 35mm camera and a handful of dry-land disposables, and this underwater camera KICKED BUTT as far as quality of shots, quality of hardware, ease of use and general cool/fun vortex rating, plus, it's almost indestructible and weighs next to nothing!

YES the prints are a bit "dark" when printed without correction -- so CORRECT them! This is a Fuji-Kodak thing, I think, so ASK your processor to print them a bit lighter. The colors are outrageously rich, even the deeper-underwater shots have very good colors throughout. You have GOT to have one of these on your wrist while you snorkel!

Really an excellent little product - the next time I need a dry-land disposable, I'm going to give Fuji a try based on how great this underwater Fuji was to use!

3-0 out of 5 stars Not impressed
Probadly will not purchase one again. Pictures were too far away. Colors very not as vivid as the real thing. View finder is too small.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Camera
If you are looking for an easy-to-use point and shoot camera this is a great one. I wanted a separate camera for my color pictures (I have my manuals for black and white) and this was the best value for the money. The LCD screen is easy to read and you can quickly switch functions (flash, date, focus) and the zoom lens was surprisingly sharp for such a small camera.
The camera loads very easily but the best feature so far has been the different timer options -- you can take 1,2,or 3 pictures in a row OR you can use the remote and point it directly at the camera after positioning yourself.
The only drawback is the viewfinder which is smaller than other cameras I have owned (Nikon/Pentax) but your eye will get used to it. I also recommend checking on ebay for this camera since you can get it new on a sharp discount.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little camera
I bought this little camera to replace a very old Cannon SureShot. I love this camera! It is sooo easy to use, very small and compact. I love the display on the back, everyone thinks it is digital. Takes pretty good pictures. Very good outdoor pictures, but indoor pictures were too dark and I had flash on, so I will work on that problem to see what I did wrong. I am an amature and I like easy point and shoot cameras that can fit in my pocket. But I highly recommend this camera. This was my first Fuji and I'm very pleased.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT camera in small package!
This replaces an old Fuji Zoom I had purchased 6 years ago. The 1300 is 2/3's the size & weight of my old one. VERY compact; large LCD screen to tell you what your controls are set at; controls easy to use; Zoom really ZOOMS up close; pictures great like all the Fuji cameras I've owned. The menu select button is very easy to use - it works like a mouse pointer on a laptop. Menu items easy to select -- just two basic steps to remember.

Drawbacks for me are: viewfinder is on the small side & I worry about scratching the LCD screen (which has no protection on it). Definitely glad I made this purchase however! And try Ebay for good prices -- I got my brand new 1300 for [$$$]including S&H!!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Fuji Camera I've Ever Owned
Fujifilm Zoom Date 1300 is one of the best compact camera I have ever owned. I've owned Fuji's other previous 35mm compact cameras such as the DL-90 and the 312 Zoom. The 1300 model is very compact and easy to use. It's so small that just by looking at it you'd guess it's an APS because of the small size. It has a large LCD screen on the back cover that shows you the functions. The Zoom lever is easy to control. The one aspect of this camera is that unlike the previous Fuji cameras that I've owned, the film counter starts at 1 and goes on up to the last frame. In the past, you'd simply drop in your film, close the cover and the film would roll up to the highest number of exposure and count down ex. 24, 23....1. This time it's the opposite way around. Overall, it is easy to use, light weight, and very small for it's size considering it uses a 35mm film. It's a great buy and you won't be disappointed. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Fuji Q1 Zoom lacks Negative size selection
This is a 'beautiful' design and takes reasonably good pics. (It IS a point & shoot) but unlike all other APS cameras, it only takes pics in the "C" mode (the traditional size prints) NOT in the "H" mode (slightly wider) or the Panoramic. Why Fuji left this choice off Boggles the mind. The main reason I use APS is for the "H" size prints. I'm dissapointed this feature was left off.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Pictures, Junky Camera
I find this camera to take adequate photos, but the camera is made of poor quality. It has scratches on it everywhere, and in under a year, the flash cover keeps falling off. It always gets me noticed, and I might have to buy a new one because I love the size and the shape. It goes everywhere with me, I just wish that the body was stronger.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great first camera
We bought this camera for my 10 year old daughter at Christmas, and have been nothing but pleased with the quality of the pictures. We chose it for it's size and ease of use for a child with the use of only one hand. I've been known to grab it, though, for quick pics around the house!

We have compensated for the additional cost of developign APS film by only getting our pics developed at Sam's or Wal-Mart...

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for the Price
I purchased this camera for my husband who doesn't use a camera much. We ended up using this camera all the time, as I misplaced my 35MM camera. It takes great pictures for the price. Sometimes, I have noticed red eye (it is supposed to have red reduction) and some the pictures indoors are darker in the background than outside, but overall this ...camera has out performed itself in my opinion.
    I highly recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars A very neat impressive little camera.
On vacation in Saint Maarten, we passed a camers store on the main street in Phillipsburgh, we spotted Q1 in the window of the store, my wife had not idea what it was, neither did I, we went in took a look, we were fascinated by it, I have had Fuji cameras in the past, knew they were very good on prices an gave you a camera that was reliable and took great shots, we bought the Q1, put the digital away for the rest of trip and took wonderful shots with the it, very impressed, APS to me has never been know for giving decent shots, but, the Q1 does, delighted with it, can only recommed it highly, even if it only has an F8 lens, its a barrel of fun, am using it since the vacation, we really love this purple camera, buy it, you wont regret it, even if it looks more like a radio.

4-0 out of 5 stars cool camera
this camera is really cool, but the film it uses is that advanced photo system stuff, & it costs alot more to buy & develop, that's pretty much the only drawback to this camera ... Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars A phenomenon
Thinking of buying a camera? How about buying more than a camera? Well I can tell you that the Fuji 60AF Autofocus 35mm Camera, is a lot more than a camera. In fact, I consider it more of a phenomenon. All the exellent features it provides makes the camera incredible. It is so easy to take pictures with this camera unlike others that you have to hit various buttons to make it work. Not only that, the pictures that anyone takes are astounding. My friends four year old son took 4 or 5 pictures with this thing and we all expected those pictures to come out looking very fuzzy. Not only were they not fuzzy, they were beautiful. If you want a good camera, get something else, but if you are looking for an excellent camera, you have come to the right place. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Love my Fujifilm Discovery S1450
Hi, I'm a lover of picture taking and I ordered this particular camera based photographs one of my friends showed me. They bought this camera and I ended up loving the quality of the pictures. So I got one and have taken tons of rolls and have been very satisfied with all prints (which I develop at my local drug store BTW) :)

5-0 out of 5 stars idiot proof!
My husband has a Samsung that I could not load to save my soul!! I wanted one I could just load and shoot, and thats exactly what I got with this camera! I am glad I did not read the one and only review for this because it was not a fair rating. Sometimes you just get a bummer amongst the pack. I think the buyer should have tried another camera and they probably would have been satisfied. I bought this to take pictures of my very active and adorable granddaughter. I took one whole roll the first day I had this camera and I could not have gotten better results. The zoom is fabulous! I cannot wait until the holidays to capture every little detail of her precious angelic face! An excellent value for the money too!

1-0 out of 5 stars Returned twice!
I bought this camera and it would not load the first two rolls of film (drop and load?). We finally got the third roll to load. That was the ONLY roll of film we got out of this camera. I returned it and was given another one, brand new in the box. The film STILL would not load and even the clerk at the photo store could not understand the problem. I didn't opt for a third S1450. Instead, swapped it out for a different company's camera. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Just an okay camera
This camera is very stylish looking but the quality of the photos are mediocre at best. Even using 400 or 800 speed film doesn't help. It takes great close-up shots, but when you get far away....no good. Subjects are hazy and blurry...but like I said close-ups are great.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very cool
This camera has everything that you are looking for! I got it in March, and I still havent' had to change the batteries-very good! Also, it's nice and small so it will fit almost anywhere. The shape is cool too!! The cord is VERY nice, so you can put it around your neck when you don't want to hold onto it anymore. You should definately buy this camera. ... Read more

Take photos in practically any environment and be confident that Fuji's Zoom Date 140-35mm camera will come through. Its zoom lens has a 3.7x magnification to provide a range of shooting options. You can use the night portrait mode and landscape mode to customize the 120 to your setting for even better pictures.

The Fuji Zoom Date 140's LCD panel displays handy information about the current operating modes. The optional date-and-time imprinting function lets you keep track of when your photos were taken. Handling film is convenient with its easy film-loading system and automatic film rewinding. The camera automatically shuts off when you accidentally leave it on for too long to save battery power. 5-0 out of 5 stars What a find
What a find! I have owned many cameras, but this model is fantastic! For a casual user, my families vacation, new baby, and leisure shots are remarkable (Note: I have only used fugi film, rather than other brands, and truly believe that the quality photos are due to the fact that cheap film is not being used). This product is well worth the money!! As for the other reviewer having problems with loading film, I have experienced this, however, if you result to the directions, you are only supposed to place the tip of the film in the loading department, my problem was that I placed to much film, and it wouldn't advance, I have not had a problem in 2 years.

    1-0 out of 5 stars 3 days...and poof...gone
3 days after buying this camera...the second roll of film will not load into it. Maybe we just bought a bad one...who knows? It will be returned this afternoon for a different brand. Don't waste your time. Stick to other reliable brands. ... Read more
