4-0 out of 5 stars Great Camera!
I've had this camera for 1 year and very pleased with the pictures it takes. Two vacations, a brand new baby girl and the expensive 35mm camera is collecting dust. Side by side with the elph, 35mm Olympus and 35mm Cannon this camera's pictures compare. It's so small and light you have to take it with you. Much lighter than the elph and easy to use. Two negatives, the buttons are small and the zoom is noisy.

2-0 out of 5 stars Could've been A LOT better...
The Olympus iZoom 2000 looks great- sleek, small, light and silver. Judging by the price I thought this would be a good camera, and small enough to take anywhere. Unfortunately I found out the hard way that this camera is by no means perfect. Every picture I have taken with this camera came out grainy and low quality, much worse than my cheaper Minolta Freedom camera I had before. Also, the viewfinder is tiny when you look through it so you can hardly see what you're taking a picture of... I asked a few other people about this, so it's not just me. It's also confusing to control the flash, etc. This camera is NOT WORTH IT, go for a higher quality Olympus or a Canon Elph if you want a compact camera that takes quality pictures. Dont waste your money on this one!

2-0 out of 5 stars Great Looking, Less Filling :-(
I luv the looks & compactness. But the pixs were grainy and very dissapointing.

I shot pixs on a clear & bright day on the beach and it looked like it was unfocused.

OVerall build quality is good. Easy instruction and ease of APS. But I expected more picture quality. It makes me long for 35mm.

The 2 stars are for looks only!

1-0 out of 5 stars Dissapointing all around!!
I have bought this camera for Christmas as a present and to my surprise it did not work when we opened the Christmas presents. I returned it and bought another one just like it. This second one was a dissapointment as well; the zoom lens would never work and it would constantly shut off by itself. I would not recommend anybody to buy this camera. IT'S AWFUL!!

4-0 out of 5 stars A handy quality camera for grab shots
I purchased the Olympus iZoom 2000 to carry with me to catch those fleeting moments when you wish you had a camera. Overall quality is very good. Picture quality is fine, if not up to 35mm standards. One minor complaint is that the camera is normally in flash mode. You have to push a button twice to turn off the flash. Also - for photo enthusiasts - there is no data visible on the camera's settings for a given photo and no manual overrides. All in all, however, a nice package. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars CHOICE IN THE MILLION

1-0 out of 5 stars HUGE Disappointment
I unfortunately paid a lot of money for this terrible camera. It was a huge disappointment. We missed many wonderful shots of our new son because the zoom on this camera just doesn't translate to the prints. Everything was off center. I was majorly disappointed in this camera,,,I thought Olympus was a quality name and boy was I wrong. I went back to using an old canon snappy and get pics that are 500 times better. Steer clear of this one. I also had the same on / off issues that another reviewer had. this camera is just plain awful.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cross Country Camera
I purchaced one of these cameras in Indiana for a cross country trip. It worked from Indiana to South Dakota. I replaced it in Tacoma, Washington, then continued home to Alaska. I replaced it again in Alaska. The camera will turn on and off by itself. I have changed batteries with no luck. I e-mailed Olympus and asked if any one else had a problem. I was told no, all of there cameras worked fine. They offered to repair if I sent to California, but that was a big hassle. Camera now collects dust and is not worthy of the garage sale pile. I will not buy another Olympus product and would suggest you do not either.

1-0 out of 5 stars caesius
This was the first camera I bought and boy was i dissappointed, I threw it away after my first set of prints. It's the worst camera ever, even the instant cameras give better results. I expected much more from a brand like Olympus. Anyway my advice is stay away from this camera. ... Read more

The Advanced Photo System (APS) has inspired new levels of innovation in the point-and-shoot camera category. Though late to the game in bringing APS cameras to market, Olympus more than makes up for its tardiness with the Newpic Zoom 90. What really sets APS cameras apart from their 35mm cousins is ease of use. And the Newpic Zoom 90 is one of the easiest APS point-and-shoot cameras around. The camera has a 30-90mm zoom lens (equivalent to a 38-115mm lens in the 35mm format) with an active autofocus system; the focus lock lets you zero in on subjects that are outside the autofocus range. The Newpic Zoom 90 has six flash modes, including red-eye reduction and fill. As with most APS cameras, film loading is practically idiot-proof and pictures can be formatted in three sizes: Classic (C--4 inches by 6 inches); HDTV (H--4 inches by 7 inches), and Panoramic (P--3.5 inches by 10 inches). The Newpic Zoom 90 includes a self-timer, a diopter viewfinder adjustment, which is important to those who are nearsighted or farsighted, and a time-date stamp function. Straightforward and easy to use, the Newpic Zoom 90 is a great way to get started in APS photography. --Harry C. Edwards ... Read more

  • Fully automatic focus and exposure control make shooting a snap
  • Film winds and rewinds automatically
  • Push-button controls let you zoom in or out to get composition just right

5-0 out of 5 stars Newpic 90 does the job!
This is a great camera for beginners and shutterbugs who don't have the patience to deal with professional photographic equipment. The APS features are fantastic giving you the ability to capture the entire Harbor Bridge on panoramic, and change film instantly while hanging from a ski lift without concern for film exposure or proper placement inside the camera casing. Its zoom lens is quite long compared to other cameras of the same type and price range. My pictures have always come out clear and crisp. Its also very durable and the rubber grip on the side makes it easy to hold unlike other all metal casing cameras. I have even dropped it in a waterfall, and although it is not waterproof and I wouldn't suggest doing it, the camera still worked after the water drained out of it. If you can still get your hands on one of these cameras, go for it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Camera, Glad I bought it
Very nice camera, good quality and a good price. Pick up a cheap APS book for some pointers and don't forget the batteries -- not included :-( ... Read more
