Amazon.com Product Description

These binoculars are solid and well made--typical Bushnell quality--with black rubber armoring over metal construction. They feature a center focus system, so focusing is simple and fast. These compact binoculars are able performers in a number of indoor/outdoor settings--essentially anywhere compact size is advantageous. 2-0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
Difficult to focus even when brand new. Jostle it too much and you'll have to start squinting even more when you use them. In all honesty, however, I didn't expect much from a $17 pair of binoculars.

1-0 out of 5 stars i couldn't believe it
so there is was in the bushes about to flush out the prettiest quail you ever did see. then FLASH, BANG, BOOM, POW...the binoculars caught on fire. now all my friends call me that old ebonics thing called hotboy.

3-0 out of 5 stars Don't expect the world
If you're looking for a pair that you don't want to lose sleep over losing or having your kid break, these are it.

Having 20/15 vision, I find it's not easy keeping focus, because I have to change both the focus and the diopter on one of the lenses to bring an image into clear focus.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bushnell 10x25 Powerview FRP
This is a nice binocular for the price. Its got a great field of view, great light gathering and a very clear lense system. Its lite enough to carry anywhere and comes with a belt carry case too. If you need a light portable binocular for most amateur uses, this is a great choice for less than $20.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I found focusing these binoculars difficult, to almost impossible. Once in focus, they would not stay in focus. The adjustment focus for individual eyes also would not stay focused properly and would jump out of focus for no identifiable reason. The clarity of the image was far worse than I have come to expect from Bushnell products. I returned them for a refund. ... Read more

I found these Binoculars to be well worth the money & a bargin at that! They are of excellent quality for the money. These are not for weekend bird watchers, short range hunters, shakey handed people, or boaters. They are excellent for long range posted hunters, during legal hunting hours on non running game. If you can't steady these, your not gonna hit what your aiming at anyway. I wear eyeglasses and focusing without use of my glasses excellent. The only improvement would be a stand attachment for use at the range, but this could effect the compactness of this item. P.S Hunt safely & know your back stop!

1-0 out of 5 stars TERRIBLE
First, I wished I had checked the reviews before purchasing! I have owned other Bushnell Binoculars, but these are by far the worst I have used. I took an Alaska trip and nearly every time I used the binoculars it was necessary to re-focus both lenses. I would not recommend these at all, there are many better pairs of binoculars on the market for a comparable price.

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality
By far the worst pair of binoculars I have ever used. Appeared to have been assembled with dirt already in the lens. Did not focus well and needed to be constantly refocused. Useless binoculars. Sending them back for refund!

3-0 out of 5 stars Good and Bad
Trying to watch herons in the water at 200-300 yards was a challenge. It was impossible to hold them steady enough. On the other hand they did a great job on ducks and 15 yards...You could count the feathers.... Clearly need good light... Mine went back and I'll probably go to a 10x or maybe a 12x

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Value
I have compared many binoculars before purchasing this pair and have no regrets what-so-ever. They are a great all-purpose binocular. The 7x magnification along with a larger 50mm aperture gives a very clear image, even indoors.
I regularly take them to hockey games and the wider field-of-view keeps the action in your sight.
The perma-focus keeps images sharp. Remember that they are set assuming you are looking through with at least almost 20/20 vision so you can not use them without corrective lenses. ... Read more

Amazon.com Product Description

The Bushnell Yardage Pro 500 rangefinder quickly and accurately measures distances within 1 yard to help you hunt or to improve your golf game. Its compact and light design makes it a good accessory for many outdoor activities.

All Bushnell Yardage Pro laser rangefinders models feature a scan mode for continuous target tracking and display distances using a multifunctional in-view LCD. All models are water and shock resistant and come with a one-year limited warranty.

How a Laser Rangefinder Works
Bushnell's Yardage Pro rangefinders use an invisible, eye-safe Class 1 Laser beam (as classified by the FDA) which is "bounced" off distant objects with the press of a button. Then, the rangefinder's high-speed digital clock measures the time it took for a laser beam to reach a target and return to the unit. Next, using advanced digital electronics, the rangefinder instantly calculates the distance within + / – 1 yard and shows the range in either yards or meters on a through-the-lens LCD Display. The entire process is so fast that less than a second elapses between the time you press the button to generate a laser beam to the time the exact range to your target is displayed.

Reflectivity of Target Types
Because rangefinders "bounce" a laser beam off the target in order to take a measurement, their range is partially determined by the reflectivity of the target. In other words, hard or "reflective" targets – like a rock cliff or semi-truck – can be measured at greater distances than soft surface targets – like a deer. Ranges for moderately reflective targets, like trees, fall somewhere in the middle. Most experienced hunters will use their rangefinder to frequently estimate ranges to near and distant landmarks before they actually encounter a game animal. By "pre-measuring" ranges to spots where a trophy is likely to appear, they can concentrate on making an accurate shot when the moment of truth arrives.

Through-the-lens LCD Display
Bushnell Yardage Pro rangefinders are fast and easy to use because everything you need to know is displayed on our built-in, through-the-lens LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). Here's how it works:

A. Targeting Modes
Scan
The Scan mode allows you to pan across the landscape while viewing a continuously updated LCD display of the distances between you and the targets you scan with the viewfinder.
Rain
This feature compensates for precipitation to guarantee an accurate distance measurement through rain or snow.
Zip
Zip allows you to accurately measure longer ranges (beyond 150 yards) when looking through foreground clutter like brush or branches.
Reflector
This feature increases the maximum measurement range for most highly reflective objects.

B. Meters/Yards
You can quickly choose between these standard measuring units with a simple press of a button.
C. Reticle
The distance to objects targeted in these crosshairs will be displayed on the Distance Readout with the press of a button.
D. Battery Indictor
Flashes when battery power is low.
E. Target Quality Gauge
Gauge indicating amount of energy pulses being received back from the target.

4-0 out of 5 stars Ranging in Tough Situations
This product is rugged and forgiving. Accurate to +/- 1 ft., this is an absolute must have for all serious bowhunters. Lightweight and easy to use, I find only one minor design flaw. It is designed for right-handed use and is slightly cumbersome for those who choose to use it as left-handed hunters (I am). Even with this minor design flaw, I still am very satisfied with this unit and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Most encounters are under 50 yards and ease of use and accuracy are critical elements in a hunt. I harvested a nice elk this year at 52 yards using this unit. Thanks Bushnell!

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this one
I purchase this instrument twice. The first time there were black specks in the lense, so it was returned. The second time was worst, i.e. same black specs but the thing didn't work at all. I have also checked this manufacturer's other models out and most come with the disturbing black specks in the lense. This isn't a quality optical product.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not bad - but , kick the tires first, at Long Distances!!
I love Bushnell products, but I would advise that you try this unit somewhere where you are sighting LONG distances, such as on the golf course. The accuracy of the LONG DISTANCE readings (or getting a reading at all) depends on hitting the object in the distance with the laser beam-not that easy on a golf course with no large targets. However, you will use it and it will be helpful, but you really should try it first so you won't be disappointed. My mother-in-law is very large, so I have her run ahead to the next pin where she acts as a large reflector for the laser beam.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bowhunters best friend
I am a female bowhunter who really had trouble judjing distances on green fields. This is a great product . It is easy to use and very accurate.

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible Range Finder
I use this great product when playing golf and while hunting. Plus it is just fun to have and a great discussion item. It is very accurate and precise. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars LOUSY!!!
This item is the biggest piece of junk I've ever seen. You can barely see through the objectives, the field of vision is extremely small, and the focus slips so that when you adjust it, it just slips back to where it was. I would not give these to anyone, especially a child, because a child could not deal with the frustration. I bought these for my son and was very excited to go out and look at birds with him. I will go elsewhere. By the way amazon would not refund my return shipping for this item, saying that they are not defective--meaning they are SUPPOSED to be this crappy. Good luck!

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't go wrong!
I bought a pair of these binoculars for my oldest grandson for Christmas. After seeing the quality of them I am purchasing one for each of my grandchildren, they will just love them. Awesome deal!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!
What a wonderful pair of binoculars! The binocular market is saturated with a plethora of cheap binoculars, and all too often their cheapness nags at you while using them. However, this pair is really special. For so little money, you get an extremely-accurate pair of binoculars that have great focusing ability and commendable optics. When looking at the specs, however, it is hard to tell how much you will enjoy using them - but after using this frequently for astronomy, bird-watching, and general fun, I have found these to be wonderfully comfortable to hold, easy on the eyes and nose, and not too heavy and not too light (too light isn't a good thing - you can't stabilize them). Highly recommended!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great value
These are great binoculars for the price. I let my 4 and 7 year old boys use them in their treks through the forest and they still work very well. They are also far better than the toy binoculars sold to kids. I am amazed at what one can get for this price.

I've had no problems with these binoculars whatsoever. Once the lenses are adjusted to each eye (all decent binoculars have this feature, a lot of people overlook it) the views are outstanding and crystal clear with excellent brightness. The rain/fogproof claim is a good one, I've taken them through heavey snow and rain and they've performed great.
