3-0 out of 5 stars Fuji Q1 Zoom lacks Negative size selection
This is a 'beautiful' design and takes reasonably good pics. (It IS a point & shoot) but unlike all other APS cameras, it only takes pics in the "C" mode (the traditional size prints) NOT in the "H" mode (slightly wider) or the Panoramic. Why Fuji left this choice off Boggles the mind. The main reason I use APS is for the "H" size prints. I'm dissapointed this feature was left off.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Pictures, Junky Camera
I find this camera to take adequate photos, but the camera is made of poor quality. It has scratches on it everywhere, and in under a year, the flash cover keeps falling off. It always gets me noticed, and I might have to buy a new one because I love the size and the shape. It goes everywhere with me, I just wish that the body was stronger.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great first camera
We bought this camera for my 10 year old daughter at Christmas, and have been nothing but pleased with the quality of the pictures. We chose it for it's size and ease of use for a child with the use of only one hand. I've been known to grab it, though, for quick pics around the house!

We have compensated for the additional cost of developign APS film by only getting our pics developed at Sam's or Wal-Mart...

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for the Price
I purchased this camera for my husband who doesn't use a camera much. We ended up using this camera all the time, as I misplaced my 35MM camera. It takes great pictures for the price. Sometimes, I have noticed red eye (it is supposed to have red reduction) and some the pictures indoors are darker in the background than outside, but overall this ...camera has out performed itself in my opinion.
I highly recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars A very neat impressive little camera.
On vacation in Saint Maarten, we passed a camers store on the main street in Phillipsburgh, we spotted Q1 in the window of the store, my wife had not idea what it was, neither did I, we went in took a look, we were fascinated by it, I have had Fuji cameras in the past, knew they were very good on prices an gave you a camera that was reliable and took great shots, we bought the Q1, put the digital away for the rest of trip and took wonderful shots with the it, very impressed, APS to me has never been know for giving decent shots, but, the Q1 does, delighted with it, can only recommed it highly, even if it only has an F8 lens, its a barrel of fun, am using it since the vacation, we really love this purple camera, buy it, you wont regret it, even if it looks more like a radio.

4-0 out of 5 stars cool camera
this camera is really cool, but the film it uses is that advanced photo system stuff, & it costs alot more to buy & develop, that's pretty much the only drawback to this camera ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Just an okay camera
This camera is very stylish looking but the quality of the photos are mediocre at best. Even using 400 or 800 speed film doesn't help. It takes great close-up shots, but when you get far away....no good. Subjects are hazy and blurry...but like I said close-ups are great.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very cool
This camera has everything that you are looking for! I got it in March, and I still havent' had to change the batteries-very good! Also, it's nice and small so it will fit almost anywhere. The shape is cool too!! The cord is VERY nice, so you can put it around your neck when you don't want to hold onto it anymore. You should definately buy this camera. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT Camera, LOW PRICE!
Fuji did it again...offering it's high-caliber photo technology with the use of APS film. I checked out all major brands, and the reason why I chose Fuji was: Price/value. The Zoom can't be beaten. As for the photo quality, it's fantastic. If you're looking for a fairly priced APS camera with all of the great features such as zoom, this is the one to buy.

2-0 out of 5 stars Just for Snapshots
If I had had the chance to use this camera for a day or two before I bought it, it wouldn't have been "bought". It really is just for snapshots of birthday parties and wading pools. Black and White photos were a disappointment--the color was all off. Enlargements were not sharp and landscapes or distance photos were ill defined. I wouldn't buy it again--which means that I will be buying something else soon, so it was a waste of money.

4-0 out of 5 stars A fantastic go-anywhere camera
I'd recommend this camera to everyone. It's simple to use and makes a great entry camera for anyone that has been considering getting a new one. However, it still gives good results so even the demanding photographer can be pleased with what comes out. I've got a decent 35mm setup (body and several lenses, etc) but if I don't want to take it with me, this pocket size wonder is what I pick up.

The camera's layout is good, all the functionality you need, and the ease of use of and APS system camera. The zoom (about 35-80 in 35mm terms) has a good range and even the flash seems strong for such a small body.

It'd make a great gift for anyone. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Worked great for a while
I bought this camera a couple of years ago and it worked great and took great pictures until recently. First, it started to delay when taking pictures. I had to wait longer and longer, it seemed, each time I tried to take another picture. Then, I was rewinding the film that contained pictures of our son's first Christmas and the film got stuck in the camera. There is no forcing the film compartment door open and I stripped the gears on the door opener when I tried to pry it open. I ended taking it to a professional photo repair shop and spent $15 to have the camera taken apart around the film to save the pictures. I had to buy a new camera because this one is now worthless.

3-0 out of 5 stars How???
We just got this camera, but no instruction booklet available. We need help!

3-0 out of 5 stars Ben's mom likes it
i just got this camera and have not really been able to use it much, hence only the 3 rating. it could very well be a 5 but the only time i got to use it was in the dark.

its easy to use, and the timer function is great for those priceless money shots.

The red eye reduction works great, and the close ups "come" out nicely too, but most importantly Ben's mom likes it a lot. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Worth It
Snapshot cameras operate on such a simple principle that I didn't think it was possible to take such out-of-focus images. Well now it is, thanks to the Nexia 20.

I've owned and used many different 35mm cameras in the past, and I was able to produce some kind of workable image with every one of them, even the wind-up snapshot camera I have. This one I gave a try to get a feel for what APS can do.

I took pictures from 3 feet away, 10 feet away, and at great distance. I took them in daylight, and I took them with a flash. I took them in a box, and I took them with a fox, but nothing I could do would make a single picture I took with this camera appear in focus.

The view lens doesn't line up either, so if you think you're taking a picture of your friends, you're actually taking a picture of your friends from the neck down.

The problem with making a discount APS camera is you can't take away features to make it more affordable (it requires automatic film advance/rewind and print format selection) so all you can do is make everything cheaper. Which they most certainly did.

My advice is to go with a 35mm camera in this price range, or to buy a more expensive camera if you must have APS.

In short, this should be sold as a paper-weight or maybe as a Rubik's cube-type toy (try opening the loaded film compartment without a chisel), but this thing is no camera.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great camera for kids
My daughter has wanted a camera since she was 2 years old. I bought her this camera (the pink flower edition) just before she turned 3. She loves it. The size is great for little hands. For the most part I don't need to adjust her fingers to keep them away from the lens.

She also has a Chicco Smile Camera. That was is very easy to use, and slightly cheaper since it uses regular 35mm film. However, given a choice she'll go for the Nexia every time. I know she's drawn to the design, but I think she likes the size of it too.

If you have your own little budding photographer let them give this camera a try. I don't think you'll go wrong. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Keep Looking
After doing extensive research before making this purchase, we have been satisfied with the picture quality. The focus and colors are sharp. However, the flash malfunctioned after less than 6 months.

As far as ease of use, overall it is not bad, but subjects are difficult to line up in the viewfinder.

Compared to others on the market, it is loaded with features (as long as it works). We won't be buying another Fuji again in the near future.

A final warning to those considering the APS format- film and processing costs are considerably higher per roll vs. 35mm.

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
This will be my first and last APS camera. The quality of pictures is terrible compared with even a cheap 35 mm camera. The picture quality reminded me of the old Compact Disc cameras of the 80's. The main reason I bought this camera was to take panoramic pictures easily with the regular 4x6 size, but I have already sent this camera back for a refund. Instead, I decided to use my old 35mm zoom camera for the 4x6's and buy a disposable APS for the panoramics, because the picture quality is the same. Also, the quartz date didn't work on the front. The only thing good I can say about this camera was the small size.

3-0 out of 5 stars A little disappointed
My complaint is with the viewfinder. I, and everyone else who's used my camera, find it hard to keep the subject in sight. You have to keep moving it around to get the image back. Meanwhile, the bird you're trying to photograph has moved.
Also, it's awkward to have the flash pop up from the top left corner. You have to move your fingers out of the way.
Would I buy it again? Nope.

5-0 out of 5 stars The greatest camera
This camera has a 75 Millimeter zoom. It has red eye reduction, night mode, landscape view, and through window view special effects. It uses APS film (I personally suggest speed 200). It is small and can fit into a pocket. It comes with speed 200 tape and A comfortable case. You can additionally buy a remote control for family pictures. Also for large pictures you can make it so that they are long. I strongly reccomend this camera. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice pics even for a novice
I used this camera for the first time while learning to snorkel.

I was surprised at how nice they turned out. I put these pics (turned digital) on a travel web site which received raves.

Nice to give to the kids too. they float if you loose them and the colors are really good.

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing camera for parties, raves, etc.
These disposable cameras are great. I tend to prefer the APS versions because the negatives stay in the canister, and they come with an index print. The advanced APS features that require the camera to "talk" to the film won't work on these disposable models, but you do get the built-in panoramic photo option, and the picture quality is quite reasonable. Try one and I'm sure you'll like it. Also makes a great gift for young kids who might drop a camera accidently. You probably don't want to find that out with a $200 camera. :) ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Looks ARE deceiving
I bought this camera as a rush purchase to go on a weeked trip. Due the fact that my Kodak T550 was left at home. I know Aps cameras my not produce the greastest images blown up but I like them.
