5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent budget flash
I bought this unit over 12 years ago to replace a broken canon specific flash. It has proven to be more flexible than anticipated. Autoflash works consistently on camera, but now has been relegated to background lighting by an optical trigger. In this regard, the auto-off feature is nice to keep the batteries in better charge. It's small, lightweight, takes generic AA batteries and is cheap. ... Read more

This is Great for the price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bravo..
Excellent tripod at an affordable price. I loved the fact that I can use it with my camcorder, my SLR and also with my olympus digital camera. Quick-release camera platform makes loading/unloading a lot easier. You can take a shot at any possible angle, very easy to use (two bubble makes levelling a charm), light-weight, sturdy and reliable. Tripod also has an excellent height. Will not only get the job done in any sitation but make you proud of your shots. You can just buy it for the looks !! Thumbs Up !!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
Really sturdy tripod, and very light, I do like the fact that it has 2 bubble eyes as well, and you can flip the platform at a 90° angle to have portraits shots and landscape shots. It also has a lever leg lock which comes handy all the time. For a sturdy tripod at a low price I do recommend this one, as it will do the job for almost anyone. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars great buy for an amatuer photographer
a great buy indeed. I looked at the customer opinions before buying this one and i wasnt dissapointed. Its got an amazing set of features for the money you put in. The only complaint is that, you have to handle it a bit carefully and not roughly, because the material its made up of, its not too great. That apart its a great value for money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good, Cheap Tripod
No, it's not the greatest tripod you can get, and it's not professional/heavy duty quality. But I don't own a professional grade piece of equipment anyway, ...you can't really go wrong if you are an amateur photographer/videographer.

It's perfect for my digital camera and camcorder. It has all the features that I would need... plus, it looks really slick. When looking it over, you can't tell the difference between this and a tripod that's $50 more.

Overall, a great buy, and a must have for photography, home video.

1-0 out of 5 stars Built very cheap!!!!!!
I bought this tripod and within one week the center gear for height adjustment stripped out therefore height unusable. The whole casing around crank leaver is made of plastic and gear is made of the cheap white metal. Quality is not worth having. Take some advice spend a little more money and buy you a good one so you don't end up in the same shape I am in.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great entry level tripod
I have used this tripod for about a month now and I am very impressed! It's a great tripod for its price.

I mostly use it to take night pictures with my digital camera. The stability is great, the adjustments are easy, and my pictures come out really still.

This tripod can also extend really high dispite its compact size. I don't even mind carrying it with me because it is so lightweight. If you're taking pictures on a slant, the built-in level can assure that your camera is horizontal.

If you're looking for a heavy duty, really tall tripod, then I recommend that you look at the Vivitar 2800GX, but if you're just looking for a tripod that makes it easy to take great pictures, the 2200GX is a great value!

4-0 out of 5 stars College Student Friendly!
This tripod was exactly what I was looking for. For the amateur photographer, the price is right, and the quality is first rate. The leg locks hold fast, and all the joints are molded to a high enough degree of precision as to keep them from slipping. The result is that your camera will stay where you want it, and when your all done the tripod folds up small enough to fit just about anywhere. I was personally very impressed with this product. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars OK but not fabulous
This is a good starter flash and definately cheaper than the previous two I have purchased. The problem is that there is no way to clamp it down to the camera and it easily slides on/off. This makes it easy to remove when I need to store the camera but I have to remember to always make sure to push the flash back into place before taking a picture or it won't flash. It is also much slower to "recharge" between pictures. I have to wait at least a minute between pictures which is next to impossible when photographing children finally doing something cute!

3-0 out of 5 stars For beginners only...
This is an excellent flash for beginners but, be warned that you will need to get a more sophisticated flash as you gain experience as a photographer. The flash comes with a "PC" cord so you don't have to use it in the hot shoe when you turn the camera on it's side for a vertical. That way you can have the flash over the camera so the light is coming down from above to create a more pleasing photo. I like it well enough that I bought two, one for each of my cameras. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Value Tripod
I recently purchased the Vivitar V-2400GX Video/Photo Tripod. When i opened the box it was a small but light tripod that was easy to carry. As soon as I get something i like to try it out so guess what! I un-did the clips and let the legs extend to a hight of 60". It even has a bubble aligner so your sure you have the perfect video. There are lots of screws to hold the components in place so to turn the head you have to loosen the screw and then turn it. If your an ameteur or professional photographer and were looking for an inexpensive tripod here you go.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Value & price!
I use this tripod with 7th & 8th grade students using a digital camcorder to make i-movies. It's held up well and I'm planning on purchasing another so they don't need to argue over who's turn it is to use it. Very easy to use. The built in level bubble is a plus. Very adaptable height wise.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice tripod for the price
Not super fancy, but has all the basics, no tax and free shipping make it a real value

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Lightweight Tripod
This is not a heavy duty professional tripod, but then again, it does not have the heavy duty professional price attached to it either. It is engineered for use with almost any type of camera and its compact size makes it the perfect tripod to take along anywhere. It has a weight of only a little more than 2 pounds and has a folded length of 22 inches. With an extended height of 60 inches, it is perfect for almost any application, including portraits and landscapes.

This tripod has some professional features, like the bubble level, 3 way panhead, accessory hook. The flip lever leg locks allows for easy and quick setup/takedown. A tripod doesn't have to be that complicated, just hold the camera steady and secure. This tripod does the job. I can't find much difference between this tripod and one costing ... more.

For an entry level tripod, or just the weekend photographer, this is a great tripod to have and transport!

5-0 out of 5 stars Lightweight, portable, sturdy
Yes there is a risk of stripping gears but I haven't had that happen. It's a decently priced, portable and sturdy piece of equipment. Maybe not the top of the line a professional photographer would buy but definately good for hobbyists or general users who just need a tripod and want one that will a) stand up without wobbling b) not cost and arm and a leg.
It is fully adjustable in pretty much every way you could expect as well. Lift flip switch and rotate till your hearts content.
Just don't throw it off a cliff or give it to roudy group of toddlers to play with and you should be ok. ... Read more
